0d4ffb0f07 Working changes for GCC 3.0.2. 
We now fake out the native libgcc.mk + GNU autoconf'ed Makefile.
This gives us the flexability we will need to support our new arches
(StrongARM, Sparc64, PowerPC, and IA-64).  If this new way proves to
be too much a hassle, I still have a close-to-being-finished version
that is more like the 2.95 version of this file.

87aaead2f8 Improve the interface provided by libdialog. Move a cursor around over 
the components and trigger actions based on its position. This reduces
the need to remember the functions of various keys, and makes the
interface more consistant across library.

2defcd687a Add libiberty. This is needed on the Alpha by the iprobe port. 
I have held this back for over a year, as we will always have to wrestle
with the question of "*which* libiberty sources to use".  Sigh, if only
the GNU people would treat it as a totally separate library from GCC, et al.
and release it as such...

5c0ebacbcd Properly orient the buttons for yes/no and no/yes so that POLA is

3f6014e672 Use a unified libgcc rather than a seperate one for threaded and 
non-threaded programs.  This provides threaded programs with the
needed exception frame symbols.

e6657d443e Add a new function, dialog_noyes(), for sysinstall to be able to 
present questinos with a different default answer.  Somebody submitted
a patch to me once which did something this but I lost it (my bad) so
I'm just going to re-implement it with thanks to whomever it was who
gave me the idea.

ae7c8a2bb8 * Bring back the guts of crt{i,n}.S. This allows C++ exceptions to work 
when using the egcs and gcc-devel ports, along with GCC built from stock
public FSF sources.  With out this change, FreeBSD will be removed from
the list of systems GCC 3.0 must be evaluated on before release.  With
the effort some of us put into getting FreeBSD on this list, we should
not turn this effort into a waste, else we might not be worth fighting
for in the future.  (note that Alpha and IA-64 versions of crt{i,n}.S
are needed)

* Switch from our own crt{begin,in} to those created from GCC's crtstuff.c.
This will allow us to switch to DWARF2 exceptions in the future, along with
staying in sync with any future GCC requirements.

* Break out our ELF branding bits into a seperate file.  Currently this
is now included by our crt1.c files (since this functionality was part of
our native crtbegin.c).  Later crtbrand.o will be merged in the creation
of crti.o.

3b9aa3617c Do not use "DEFAULT_VTABLE_THUNKS". The bugs that have existed since 
EGCS 1.x have not been worked out.  And with 4.0 RELEASE comming quickly
we need C++ to be stable and usable.

559048567a This is the second half of unbreaking the world build. Add a -DNOHTML 
corollary for -DNOINFO and -DNOMAN.  I'll fix this properly (add
specific HTML doc magic) in the .mk files later; right now, just
unbreak the world.

The story is that these were added to beforeinstall improperly.  In our
beforeinstall, a full mtree has not been populated.  Since the tree is
not populated, we explode from missing directories on doc install.  It
should not be done in beforeinstall (includes) anyway.

87d902672f Fixed the hack for using "../libgcc/Makefile" in libgcc_r/Makefile. 
${LIB} was wrong at dependency-parsing time, so dependencies for
libgcc_r*.a were wrong.  This somehow worked right, except libgcc_r*.a
were always out of date.

3cf3c5d9dd sigset_t change (part 5 of 5)

Most of the userland changes are in libc. For both the alpha
and the i386 setjmp has been changed to accomodate for the
new sigset_t. Internally, libc is mostly rewritten to use the
new syscalls. The exception is in compat-43/sigcompat.c

The POSIX thread library has also been rewritten to use the
new sigset_t. Except, that it currently only handles NSIG
signals instead of the maximum _SIG_MAXSIG. This should not
be a problem because current applications don't use any
signals higher than NSIG.

There are version bumps for the following libraries:
  libdialog
  libreadline
  libc
  libc_r
  libedit
  libftpio
  libss

These libraries either a) have one of the modified structures
visible in the interface, or b) use sigset_t internally and
may cause breakage if new binaries are used against libraries
that don't have the sigset_t change. This not an immediate
issue, but will be as soon as applications start using the
new range to its fullest.

NOTE: libncurses already had an version bump and has not been
      given one now.

NOTE: doscmd is a real casualty and has been disconnected for
      the moment. Reconnection will eventually happen after
      doscmd has been fixed. I'm aware that being the last one
      to touch it, I'm automaticly promoted to being maintainer.
      According to good taste this means that I will receive a
      badge which either will be glued or mechanically stapled,
      drilled or otherwise violently forced onto me :-)

NOTE: pcvt/vttest cannot be compiled with -traditional. The
      change cause sys/types to be included along the way which
      contains the const and volatile modifiers. I don't consider
      this a solution, but more a workaround.
