BTW, what editors are the culprits? I'm using vim and it shows
me whitespace at EOL in troff files with a thick blue block...

linked list to store the callbak routines. The patch converts the
lists to queue(3) TAILQs, making the code slightly clearer and ensuring
that callbacks are executed in FIFO order.
Man page also updated as necesary.
(discontinued use of M_TEMP malloc type while here anyway /phk)

This will make a number of things easier in the future, as well as (finally!)
avoiding the Id-smashing problem which has plagued developers for so long.
Boy, I'm glad we're not using sup anymore. This update would have been
insane otherwise.
