Alex Richardson d146f83180 prepare-commit-msg: Avoid warning on macOS and shellcheck fixes The macOS /bin/sh complains about using return outside of functions. Replace `return 0` with `exit 0` to fix this. While editing this files I've also fixed all the shellcheck warnings that were displayed by my IDE. This directory tree contains tools used for the maintenance and
testing of FreeBSD.  There is no toplevel Makefile structure since
these tools are not meant to be built as part of the standard system,
though there may be individual Makefiles in some of the subdirs.

Please read the README files in the subdirs for further information.
