r357614 added CTLFLAG_NEEDGIANT to make it easier to find nodes that are still not MPSAFE (or already are but aren’t properly marked). Use it in preparation for a general review of all nodes. This is non-functional change that adds annotations to SYSCTL_NODE and SYSCTL_PROC nodes using one of the soon-to-be-required flags. * The AX88172 provides USB ethernet supports at 10 and 100Mbps.
* It uses an external PHY (reference designs use a RealTek chip),
* and has a 64-bit multicast hash filter. There is some information
* missing from the manual which one needs to know in order to make
* the chip function:
*
* - You must set bit 7 in the RX control register, otherwise the
* chip won't receive any packets.
* - You must initialize all 3 IPG registers, or you won't be able
* to send any packets.
*
* Note that this device appears to only support loading the station
* address via autload from the EEPROM (i.e. there's no way to manually
* set it).
