You could turn this off by debug.mpsafenet=0 for full network
stack or via debug.{cp|cx|ctau}.mpsafenet for cp(4), cx(4) and
ctau(4) accordingly.

The changes in the next commit would make the code totally unreadable
if the #ifdef'ing were maintained.
It might make a lot of sense to split if_cx.c in a netgraph related
and in a tty related file but I will not attempt that without hardware.
Also introduce a macro to be called by persistent nodes to signal their
persistence during shutdown to hide this mechanism from the node author.
Make node flags have a consistent style in naming.
Document the change.

rename ttyopen() -> tty_open() and ttyclose() -> tty_close().
We need the ttyopen() and ttyclose() for the new generic cdevsw
functions for tty devices in order to have consistent naming.

Various minor adjustments including handling of userland access to kernel
space struct cdev etc.

Use this function from all the relevant drivers.
I belive no drivers finger linesw[] directly anymore, paving the way for
locking and refcounting.
Remove the unused second argument from udev2dev().
Convert all remaining users of makedev() to use udev2dev(). The
semantic difference is that udev2dev() will only locate a pre-existing
dev_t, it will not line makedev() create a new one.
Apart from the tiny well controlled windown in D_PSEUDO drivers,
there should no longer be any "anonymous" dev_t's in the system
now, only dev_t's created with make_dev() and make_dev_alias()
Introduce d_version field in struct cdevsw, this must always be
initialized to D_VERSION.
Flip sense of D_NOGIANT flag to D_NEEDGIANT, this involves removing
four D_NOGIANT flags and adding 145 D_NEEDGIANT flags.
Add missing D_TTY flags to various drivers.
Complete asserts that dev_t's passed to ttyread(), ttywrite(),
ttypoll() and ttykqwrite() have (d_flags & D_TTY) and a struct tty
pointer.
Make ttyread(), ttywrite(), ttypoll() and ttykqwrite() the default
cdevsw methods for D_TTY drivers and remove the explicit initializations
in various drivers cdevsw structures.
This is the vastly updated cx drvier from Roman Kurakin <rik@cronyx.ru>
who has been patiently waiting for this update for sometime.
The driver is mostly a rewrite from the version we have in the tree.
While some similarities remain, losing the little history that the old
driver has is not a big loss, and the re@ felt it was easier this way (less
error prone).
The userland parts of this update will be committed shortly.
The driver is not connected to the build yet. I want to make sure I
don't break any platform at any time, so I want to test that with
these files in the tree before I continue (on the off chance I'm
forgetting a file).
I changed the DEBUG macro to CX_DEBUG from the code that was submitted
(to not break when we go to building with opt_global.h after the
release), as well adding $FreeBSD$.
