is part of the isdn4bsd package and is used convert sound data between
uLaw coded data to ALaw coded data and vice versa.

It reads data from stdin and outputs converted data to stdout.

In case it is run as

it converts ALaw input data to uLaw output.

In case it is run as

it converts uLaw input data to ALaw output.
