Bruce Evans d154cceba7 Potentially saved a whole 4 bytes and reduced bogusness by eliminating ... the pointer to the string "/kernel". This pointer was once only statically to once save space, but it has had to be dynamically initialized for some time, so the static initialization just wastes space.
