+To load the OSF/1 ABI support kernel module:

+The

+module provides limited
+alpha OSF/1 (also known as Digital UNIX, later known as Tru64 UNIX) 
+ABI (application binary interface) 
+compatibility for userland applications.
+The module provides the following significant facilities:

+for ecoff executable images

+Special signal handling for activated images

+OSF/1 to native system call translation

+It is important to note that the OSF/1 ABI support
+it not provided through an emulator.
+Rather, a true (albeit limited) ABI implementation is provided.

+module can be loaded as required.
+The following command will load the module
