In the syncer, drop the sync mutex while patting the watchdog.

Some watchdog drivers (like ipmi) need to sleep while patting the watchdog.
See sys/dev/ipmi/ipmi.c:ipmi_wd_event(), which calls malloc(M_WAITOK).
