008d7c831f Add META_MODE support. 
Off by default, build behaves normally.
WITH_META_MODE we get auto objdir creation, the ability to
start build from anywhere in the tree.

Still need to add real targets under targets/ to build packages.

2f94824303 Remove GNU texinfo from base along with all info pages. 
To be able to info pages consider installing texinfo from ports print/texinfo or
via pkg: pkg install texinfo

58abb279f5 Merge binutils 2.17.50 to head. This brings a number of improvements to 
x86 CPU support, better support for powerpc64, some new directives, and
many other things.  Bump __FreeBSD_version, and add a note to UPDATING.

Thanks to the many people that have helped to test this.

d03895df94 Remove building gdb info files. The gdb info files are built as part 
of building gdb itself, which has been decoupled from binutils for
as much as is reasonable.

72ba83a59e A bandaid to try and make this buildable. This should probably be 
rechecked by somebody who knows what is meant to happen here. The new
libreadline rluser.texinfo file duplicates the '@defcodeindex bt' entry.

* Update build for gdbserver and gdbreplay to work under binutils
* Fix gdbserver to use PT_GETREGS etc to access registers, removing the
  dependancy on the u-area.

45937f1696 Oops, This should have been committed with the Makefile change that 
requires the new file.

Fixed stale near-copy of contrib/libreadline/doc/hsuser.texinfo.  Patch
it at build ntime, and only keep the patch for it here.

Don't keep a copy of contrib/gdb/gdb/doc/all-cfg.texi here.  Link to it
at build time.
