86596b2682 Make it possible to run ntpd as a non-root user, add ntpd uid and gid.
Code analysis and runtime analysis using truss(8) indicate that the only
privileged operations performed by ntpd are adjusting system time, and
(re-)binding to privileged UDP port 123. These changes add a new mac(4)
policy module, mac_ntpd(4), which grants just those privileges to any
process running with uid 123.

This also adds a new user and group, ntpd:ntpd, (uid:gid 123:123), and makes
them the owner of the /var/db/ntp directory, so that it can be used as a
location where the non-privileged daemon can write files such as the
driftfile, and any optional logfile or stats files.

Because there are so many ways to configure ntpd, the question of how to
configure it to run without root privs can be a bit complex, so that will be
addressed in a separate commit. These changes are just what's required to
grant the limited subset of privs to ntpd, and the small change to ntpd to
prevent it from exiting with an error if running as non-root.

faba5effd4 Device for user space to interface with MAC/veriexec.
The veriexec device features the following ioctl commands:

VERIEXEC_ACTIVE
  Activate veriexec functionality
VERIEXEC_DEBUG_ON
Enable debugging mode and increment or set the debug level
VERIEXEC_DEBUG_OFF
  Disable debugging mode
VERIEXEC_ENFORCE
Enforce veriexec fingerprinting (and acitvate if not already)
VERIEXEC_GETSTATE
  Get current veriexec state
VERIEXEC_LOCK
Lock changes to veriexec meta-data store
VERIEXEC_LOAD
Load veriexec fingerprint if secure level is not raised (and passes the
  checks for VERIEXEC_SIGNED_LOAD)
VERIEXEC_SIGNED_LOAD
Load veriexec fingerprints from loader that supports signed manifest
(and thus we can be more lenient about secure level being raised.)
Fingerprints can be loaded if the meta-data store is not locked. Also
securelevel must not have been raised or some fingerprints must have
already been loaded, otherwise it would be dangerous to allow loading.
(Note: this assumes that the fingerprints in the meta-data store at
         least cover the fingerprint loader.)

ccddba56e4 MAC/veriexec implements a verified execution environment using the MAC
framework.

The code is organized into a few distinct pieces:

* The meta-data store (in veriexec_metadata.c) which maps a file system
identifier, file identifier, and generation key tuple to veriexec
  meta-data record.

* Fingerprint management (in veriexec_fingerprint.c) which deals with
calculating the cryptographic hash for a file and verifying it. It also
  manages the loadable fingerprint modules.

* MAC policy implementation (in mac_veriexec.c) which implements the
  following MAC methods:

mpo_init
Initializes the veriexec state, meta-data store, fingerprint modules,
and registers mount and unmount EVENTHANDLERs

mpo_syscall
Implements the following per-policy system calls:
  MAC_VERIEXEC_CHECK_FD_SYSCALL
Check a file descriptor to see if the referenced file has a valid
    fingerprint.
  MAC_VERIEXEC_CHECK_PATH_SYSCALL
Check a path to see if the referenced file has a valid fingerprint.

mpo_kld_check_load
Check if loading a kld is allowed. This checks if the referenced vnode
  has a valid fingerprint.

mpo_mount_destroy_label
Clears the veriexec slot data in a mount point label.

mpo_mount_init_label
Initializes the veriexec slot data in a mount point label.
The file system identifier is saved in the veriexec slot data.

mpo_priv_check
Check if a process is allowed to write to /dev/kmem and /dev/mem
  devices.
If a process is flagged as trusted, it is allowed to write.

mpo_proc_check_debug
Check if a process is allowed to be debugged. If a process is not
flagged with VERIEXEC_NOTRACE, then debugging is allowed.

mpo_vnode_check_exec
Check is an exectuable is allowed to run. If veriexec is not enforcing
or the executable has a valid fingerprint, then it is allowed to run.
NOTE: veriexec will complain about mismatched fingerprints if it is
active, regardless of the state of the enforcement.

mpo_vnode_check_open
Check is a file is allowed to be opened. If verification was not
requested, veriexec is not enforcing, or the file has a valid
fingerprint, then veriexec will allow the file to be opened.

mpo_vnode_copy_label
Copies the veriexec slot data from one label to another.

mpo_vnode_destroy_label
Clears the veriexec slot data in a vnode label.

mpo_vnode_init_label
Initializes the veriexec slot data in a vnode label.
The fingerprint status for the file is stored in the veriexec slot data.

* Some sysctls, under security.mac.veriexec, for setting debug level,
fetching the current state in a human-readable form, and dumping the
  fingerprint database are implemented.

* The MAC policy implementation source file also contains some utility
  functions.

* A set of fingerprint modules for the following cryptographic hash
  algorithms:
  RIPEMD-160, SHA1, SHA2-256, SHA2-384, SHA2-512

* Loadable module builds for MAC/veriexec and fingerprint modules.

WARNING: Using veriexec with NFS (or other network-based) file systems is
not recommended as one cannot guarantee the integrity of the files
served, nor the uniqueness of file system identifiers which are
used as key in the meta-data store.

3489c7d4d3 linux64: use linux output target for linux_vdso.so
linux_vdso.so provides the vdso for the linuxulator's amd64 target and
is mapped into a Linux binary's address space. Thus it should be a
Linux-style .so, which has the ELF OS/ABI unset.

It turns out that ELF Tool Chain elfcopy/objcopy also has a bug where
the OS/ABI field is unset, regardless of the specified --output-target,
so this change is a no-op with the default in-tree toolchain. This is a
real fix when using external binutils, and the ELF Tool Chain bug will
be fixed in the future.

e4ec942fc5 This commit brings in a new refactored TCP stack called Rack.
Rack includes the following features:
 - A different SACK processing scheme (the old sack structures are not used).
 - RACK (Recent acknowledgment) where counting dup-acks is no longer done
instead time is used to knwo when to retransmit. (see the I-D)
 - TLP (Tail Loss Probe) where we will probe for tail-losses to attempt
to try not to take a retransmit time-out. (see the I-D)
 - Burst mitigation using TCPHTPS
 - PRR (partial rate reduction) see the RFC.

Once built into your kernel, you can select this stack by either
socket option with the name of the stack is "rack" or by setting
the global sysctl so the default is rack.

Note that any connection that does not support SACK will be kicked
back to the "default" base FreeBSD stack (currently known as "default").

To build this into your kernel you will need to enable in your
kernel:
   makeoptions WITH_EXTRA_TCP_STACKS=1
   options TCPHPTS

2f6bd2cd39 hwpmc: remove unused pre-table driven bits for intel
Intel now provides comprehensive tables for all performance counters
and the various valid configuration permutations as text .json files.
Libpmc has been converted to use these and hwpmc_core has been greatly
simplified by moving to passthrough of the table values.

The one gotcha is that said tables don't support pentium pro and and pentium
IV. There's very few users of hwpmc on _amd64_ kernels on new hardware. It is
unlikely that anyone is doing low level optimization on 15 year old Intel
hardware. Nonetheless, if someone feels strongly enough to populate the
corresponding tables for p4 and ppro I will reinstate the files in to the
build.

Code for the K8 counters and !x86 architectures remains unchanged.

It never got much use and never became a kernel default. The code

7e98790979 Add driver for Microchip LAN78xx USB3-GigE controller
This driver supports two Microchip USB-Ethernet controllers:

LAN7800 USB 3.1 to 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet
LAN7515 USB 2 to 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet with built-in USB hub

The LAN7515 is the Ethernet controller on the Raspberry Pi 3B+.
At present there is no datasheet for the LAN7515, but it is effectively
a USB 2 hub combined with a LAN7800 controller. A comprehensive LAN7800
datasheet is at http://www.microchip.com/wwwproducts/en/LAN7800.

This driver is based on the structure of the smsc(4) driver which
supports Microchip/SMSC's LAN95xx family. (Microchip acquired SMSC
in May 2012.) The Linux lan78xx driver served as a reference for some
functionality and registers.

The 'muge' driver name comes from "Microchip USB Gigabit Ethernet".
I made some style adjustments and minor edits to Arshan's submission.
It will be connected to the build after additional review and testing.

Thanks to Microchip for providing a number of Evaluation Boards (EVBs)
for development and testing.

This driver is compatible with H3/H5/A64.
Test was done on the OrangePi-PC2 board (H5 based), which have a mx25l1606e
spi flash on it, by writing u-boot image, reading it and booting from the spi.
There is still room for improvement especially on reading using the controller
automatic burst which will avoid us to write dummy data to the TX FIFO.
DMA is also not supported as we currently don't support the DMA controller on
those SoCs
Only add a kernel module for it.

24435f6990 cxgbe(4): Allocate offload Tx queues when a card has resources
provisioned for NIC_ETHOFLD and the kernel has option RATELIMIT.

It is possible to use the chip's offload queues for normal NIC Tx and
not just TOE Tx. The difference is that these queues support out of
order processing of work requests and have a per-"flowid" mechanism for
tracking credits between the driver and hardware. This allows Tx for
any number of flows bound to different rate limits to be submitted to a
single Tx queue and the work requests for slow flows won't cause HOL
blocking for the rest.

26c165ead9 Remove support for the Arcnet protocol.
While Arcnet has some continued deployment in industrial controls, the
lack of drivers for any of the PCI, USB, or PCIe NICs on the market

Evidence in the PR database suggests that the cm(4) driver (our sole

Changelist:
    - Turn tx_rings and rx_rings arrays into arrays of pointers to kring
structs. This patch includes fixes for ixv, ixl, ix, re, cxgbe, iflib,
vtnet and ptnet drivers to cope with the change.
    - Generalize the nm_config() callback to accept a struct containing many
      parameters.
    - Introduce NKR_FAKERING to support buffers sharing (used for netmap
      pipes)
    - Improved API for external VALE modules.
    - Various bug fixes and improvements to the netmap memory allocator,
including support for externally (userspace) allocated memory.
    - Refactoring of netmap pipes: now linked rings share the same netmap
buffers, with a separate set of kring pointers (rhead, rcur, rtail).
Buffer swapping does not need to happen anymore.
    - Large refactoring of the control API towards an extensible solution;
the goal is to allow the addition of more commands and extension of
existing ones (with new options) without the need of hacks or the
risk of running out of configuration space.
A new NIOCCTRL ioctl has been added to handle all the requests of the
new control API, which cover all the functionalities so far supported.
The netmap API bumps from 11 to 12 with this patch. Full backward
compatibility is provided for the old control command (NIOCREGIF), by
means of a new netmap_legacy module. Many parts of the old netmap.h
header has now been moved to netmap_legacy.h (included by netmap.h).

a9dc23becd Add VMCI (Virtual Machine Communication Interface) driver
In a virtual machine, VMCI is exposed as a regular PCI device. The primary
communication mechanisms supported are a point-to-point bidirectional
transport based on a pair of memory-mapped queues, and asynchronous
notifications in the form of datagrams and doorbells. These features are
available to kernel level components such as vSockets through the VMCI
kernel API. In addition to this, the VMCI kernel API provides support for
receiving events related to the state of the VMCI communication channels,
and the virtual machine itself.

Add support for building dtbo during buildkernel.
The goal of DTBO present in the FreeBSD source tree is to fill a gap in

we can add a DTBO in tree in the meantime.
This is not for adding DTBO for capes/hat/addon boards, those will be
better to put in a ports.
This is also not for enabling a i2c/spi/pwm controller on certain pins,
each user have a different use case for those (which pins to use etc ...)
and we cannot have all possible configuration.

122dd82620 Add mutual exclusion mechanism for software reset of firmware in mlx5core.
Since the FW can be shared between PCI functions it is common that
more than one health poll will detected a failure, this can lead to
multiple resets.

The solution is to use a FW locking mechanism using semaphore space to
provide a way to synchronize between functions. The FW semaphore is
acquired via config cycle access. First the VSEC gateway must be
acquired, then the semaphore can be locked by writing a value to it
and confirmed it's locked by reading the same value back. The process
in the same to free the semaphore, except the value written should be
zero.

f5c5ebb133 Import Blake2 algorithms (blake2b, blake2s) from libb2
The upstream repository is on github BLAKE2/libb2. Files landed in
sys/contrib/libb2 are the unmodified upstream files, except for one
difference: secure_zero_memory's contents have been replaced with
explicit_bzero() only because the previous implementation broke powerpc
link. Preferential use of explicit_bzero() is in progress upstream, so
it is anticipated we will be able to drop this diff in the future.

sys/crypto/blake2 contains the source files needed to port libb2 to our
build system, a wrapped (limited) variant of the algorithm to match the API
of our auth_transform softcrypto abstraction, incorporation into the Open
Crypto Framework (OCF) cryptosoft(4) driver, as well as an x86 SSE/AVX
accelerated OCF driver, blake2(4).

Optimized variants of blake2 are compiled for a number of x86 machines
(anything from SSE2 to AVX + XOP). On those machines, FPU context will need
to be explicitly saved before using blake2(4)-provided algorithms directly.
Use via cryptodev / OCF saves FPU state automatically, and use via the
auth_transform softcrypto abstraction does not use FPU.

The intent of the OCF driver is mostly to enable testing in userspace via
/dev/crypto. ATF tests are added with published KAT test vectors to
validate correctness.

0688d78f09 Support for TLS offload of TOE connections on T6 adapters.
The TOE engine in Chelsio T6 adapters supports offloading of TLS
encryption and TCP segmentation for offloaded connections. Sockets
using TLS are required to use a set of custom socket options to upload
RX and TX keys to the NIC and to enable RX processing. Currently
these socket options are implemented as TCP options in the vendor
specific range. A patched OpenSSL library will be made available in a
port / package for use with the TLS TOE support.

TOE sockets can either offload both transmit and reception of TLS
records or just transmit. TLS offload (both RX and TX) is enabled by
setting the dev.t6nex.<x>.tls sysctl to 1 and requires TOE to be
enabled on the relevant interface. Transmit offload can be used on
any "normal" or TLS TOE socket by using the custom socket option to
program a transmit key. This permits most TOE sockets to
transparently offload TLS when applications use a patched SSL library
(e.g. using LD_LIBRARY_PATH to request use of a patched OpenSSL
library). Receive offload can only be used with TOE sockets using the
TLS mode. The dev.t6nex.0.toe.tls_rx_ports sysctl can be set to a
list of TCP port numbers. Any connection with either a local or
remote port number in that list will be created as a TLS socket rather
than a plain TOE socket. Note that although this sysctl accepts an
arbitrary list of port numbers, the sysctl(8) tool is only able to set
sysctl nodes to a single value. A TLS socket will hang without
receiving data if used by an application that is not using a patched
SSL library. Thus, the tls_rx_ports node should be used with care.
For a server mostly concerned with offloading TLS transmit, this node
is not needed as plain TOE sockets will fall back to software crypto
when using an unpatched SSL library.

New per-interface statistics nodes are added giving counts of TLS
packets and payload bytes (payload bytes do not include TLS headers or
authentication tags/MACs) offloaded via the TOE engine, e.g.:

dev.cc.0.stats.rx_tls_octets: 149
dev.cc.0.stats.rx_tls_records: 13
dev.cc.0.stats.tx_tls_octets: 26501823
dev.cc.0.stats.tx_tls_records: 1620

TLS transmit work requests are constructed by a new variant of
t4_push_frames() called t4_push_tls_records() in tom/t4_tls.c.

TLS transmit work requests require a buffer containing IVs. If the
IVs are too large to fit into the work request, a separate buffer is
allocated when constructing a work request. This buffer is associated
with the transmit descriptor and freed when the descriptor is ACKed by
the adapter.

Received TLS frames use two new CPL messages. The first message is a
CPL_TLS_DATA containing the decryped payload of a single TLS record.
The handler places the mbuf containing the received payload on an
mbufq in the TOE pcb. The second message is a CPL_RX_TLS_CMP message
which includes a copy of the TLS header and indicates if there were
any errors. The handler for this message places the TLS header into
the socket buffer followed by the saved mbuf with the payload data.
Both of these handlers are contained in tom/t4_tls.c.

A few routines were exposed from t4_cpl_io.c for use by t4_tls.c
including send_rx_credits(), a new send_rx_modulate(), and
t4_close_conn().

TLS keys for both transmit and receive are stored in onboard memory
in the NIC in the "TLS keys" memory region.

In some cases a TLS socket can hang with pending data available in the
NIC that is not delivered to the host. As a workaround, TLS sockets
are more aggressive about sending CPL_RX_DATA_ACK messages anytime that
any data is read from a TLS socket. In addition, a fallback timer will
periodically send CPL_RX_DATA_ACK messages to the NIC for connections
that are still in the handshake phase. Once the connection has
finished the handshake and programmed RX keys via the socket option,
the timer is stopped.

A new function select_ulp_mode() is used to determine what sub-mode a
given TOE socket should use (plain TOE, DDP, or TLS). The existing
set_tcpddp_ulp_mode() function has been renamed to set_ulp_mode() and
handles initialization of TLS-specific state when necessary in
addition to DDP-specific state.

Since TLS sockets do not receive individual TCP segments but always
receive full TLS records, they can receive more data than is available
in the current window (e.g. if a 16k TLS record is received but the
socket buffer is itself 16k). To cope with this, just drop the window
to 0 when this happens, but track the overage and "eat" the overage as
it is read from the socket buffer not opening the window (or adding
rx_credits) for the overage bytes.

03d8fd318a imcsmb(4): Intel integrated Memory Controller (iMC) SMBus controller driver
imcsmb(4) provides smbus(4) support for the SMBus controller functionality
in the integrated Memory Controllers (iMCs) embedded in Intel Sandybridge-
Xeon, Ivybridge-Xeon, Haswell-Xeon, and Broadwell-Xeon CPUs. Each CPU
implements one or more iMCs, depending on the number of cores; each iMC
implements two SMBus controllers (iMC-SMBs).

*** IMPORTANT NOTE ***
Because motherboard firmware or the BMC might try to use the iMC-SMBs for
monitoring DIMM temperatures and/or managing an NVDIMM, the driver might
need to temporarily disable those functions, or take a hardware interlock,
before using the iMC-SMBs. Details on how to do this may vary from board to
board, and the procedure may be proprietary. It is strongly suggested that
anyone wishing to use this driver contact their motherboard vendor, and
modify the driver as described in the manual page and in the driver itself.
(For what it's worth, the driver as-is has been tested on various SuperMicro
motherboards.)

e45b8be45c Instead of building ofw_iicbus as a separate module, just compile it in to
the iicbus module for FDT-based systems.

The primary motivation for this is that host controller drivers which
declare DRIVER_MODULE(ofw_iicbus, thisdriver, etc, etc) now only need a
single MODULE_DEPEND(thisdriver, ofw_iicbus) for runtime linking to resolve
all the symbols. With ofw_iicbus and iicbus in separate modules, drivers
would need to declare a MODULE_DEPEND() on both, because symbol lookup is
non-recursive through the dependency chain. Requiring a driver to have
MODULE_DEPENDS() on both amounts to requiring the drivers to understand the
kobj inheritence details of how ofw_iicbus is implemented, which seems like
something they shouldn't have to know (and could even change some day).

Also, this is somewhat analogous to how the drivers get built when compiled
into the kernel. You don't have to ask for ofw_iicbus separately, it just
gets built in along with iicbus when option FDT is in effect.

This adds sys/modules/imx with a SUBDIR makefile to make the whole

The if_ffec driver is referenced in its existing home in ../ffec rather
than moving it into the imx directory, because it's used by powerpc too,
but it is no longer built for all armv6/7 systems.

The imx_i2c driver is newly added as a module.

d67e92fd24 Add ccp(4): experimental driver for AMD Crypto Co-Processor
* Registers TRNG source for random(4)
* Finds available queues, LSBs; allocates static objects
* Allocates a shared MSI-X for all queues. The hardware does not have
separate interrupts per queue. Working interrupt mode driver.
* Computes SHA hashes, HMAC. Passes cryptotest.py, cryptocheck tests.
* Does AES-CBC, CTR mode, and XTS. cryptotest.py and cryptocheck pass.
* Support for "authenc" (AES + HMAC). (SHA1 seems to result in
"unaligned" cleartext inputs from cryptocheck -- which the engine
cannot handle. SHA2 seems to work fine.)
* GCM passes for block-multiple AAD, input lengths

Largely based on ccr(4), part of cxgbe(4).

Rough performance averages on AMD Ryzen 1950X (4kB buffer):
aesni: SHA1: ~8300 Mb/s SHA256: ~8000 Mb/s
ccp: ~630 Mb/s SHA256: ~660 Mb/s SHA512: ~700 Mb/s
cryptosoft: ~1800 Mb/s SHA256: ~1800 Mb/s SHA512: ~2700 Mb/s

As you can see, performance is poor in comparison to aesni(4) and even
cryptosoft (due to high setup cost). At a larger buffer size (128kB),
throughput is a little better (but still worse than aesni(4)):

aesni: SHA1:~10400 Mb/s SHA256: ~9950 Mb/s
ccp: ~2200 Mb/s SHA256: ~2600 Mb/s SHA512: ~3800 Mb/s
cryptosoft: ~1750 Mb/s SHA256: ~1800 Mb/s SHA512: ~2700 Mb/s

AES performance has a similar story:

aesni: 4kB: ~11250 Mb/s 128kB: ~11250 Mb/s
ccp: ~350 Mb/s 128kB: ~4600 Mb/s
cryptosoft: ~1750 Mb/s 128kB: ~1700 Mb/s

This driver is EXPERIMENTAL. You should verify cryptographic results on
typical and corner case inputs from your application against a known- good
implementation.

The OBJS_DEPEND_GUESS mechanism was making vmx_genassym.o depend

6f4a9c1918 Introduce bwn(4) support for the bhnd(4) bus.
Currently, bwn(4) relies on the siba_bwn(4) bus driver to provide support
for the on-chip SSB interconnect found in Broadcom's older PCI(e) Wi-Fi
adapters. Non-PCI Wi-Fi adapters, as well as the newer BCMA interconnect
found in post-2009 Broadcom Wi-Fi hardware, are not supported by
siba_bwn(4).

The bhnd(4) bus driver (also used by the FreeBSD/MIPS Broadcom port)
provides a unified kernel interface to a superset of the hardware supported
by siba_bwn; by attaching bwn(4) via bhnd(4), we can support both modern
PCI(e) Wi-Fi devices based on the BCMA backplane interconnect, as well as
Broadcom MIPS WiSoCs that include a D11 MAC core directly attached to their
SSB or BCMA backplane.

This diff introduces opt-in bwn(4) support for bhnd(4) by providing:

 - A small bwn(4) driver subclass, if_bwn_bhnd, that attaches via
   bhnd(4) instead of siba_bwn(4).
 - A bhndb(4)-based PCI host bridge driver, if_bwn_pci, that optionally
probes at a higher priority than the siba_bwn(4) PCI driver.
 - A set of compatibility shims that perform translation of bwn(4)'s
siba_bwn function calls into their bhnd(9) API equivalents when bwn(4)
is attached via a bhnd(4) bus parent. When bwn(4) is attached via
siba_bwn(4), all siba_bwn function calls are simply passed through to
   their original implementations.

To test bwn(4) with bhnd(4), place the following lines in loader.conf(5):

  hw.bwn_pci.preferred="1"

  if_bwn_pci_load="YES
  bwn_v4_ucode_load="YES"
  bwn_v4_lp_ucode_load="YES"

To verify that bwn(4) is using bhnd(4), you can check dmesg:

  bwn0: <Broadcom 802.11 MAC/PHY/Radio, rev 15> ... on bhnd0

... or devinfo(8):

pcib2
  pci2
    bwn_pci0
      bhndb0
        bhnd0
          bwn0
          ...

bwn(4)/bhnd(4) has been tested for regressions with most chipsets currently
supported by bwn(4), including:

  - BCM4312
  - BCM4318
  - BCM4321

With minimal changes to the DMA code (not included in this commit), I was
also able to test support for newer BCMA devices by bringing up basic
working Wi-Fi on two previously unsupported, BCMA-based N-PHY chipsets:

  - BCM43224
  - BCM43225

0ac5e9bc89 Port cloudabi32.ko to FreeBSD/arm64.
This change adds an implementation of a sysent for running CloudABI
armv6 and armv7 binaries on FreeBSD/arm64. It is a somewhat literal copy
of the armv6 version, except that it's been patched up to use the proper
registers.

Just like for cloudabi32.ko on FreeBSD/amd64, we make use of a vDSO that
automatically pads system call parameters to 64-bit value. These are
stored in a buffer on the stack, meaning we need to use copyin() and
copyout() unconditionally.

58aba8062f bhnd(4): extend the PMU APIs to support bwn(4)
The bwn(4) driver requires a number of extensions to the bhnd(4) PMU
interface to support external configuration of PLLs, LDOs, and other
parameters that require chipset or PHY-specific workarounds.

These changes add support for:

- Writing raw voltage register values to PHY-specific LDO regulator
  registers (required by LP-PHY).
- Enabling/disabling PHY-specific LDOs (required by LP-PHY)
- Writing to arbitrary PMU chipctrl registers (required for common PHY PLL
  reset support).
- Requesting chipset/PLL-specific spurious signal avoidance modes.
- Querying clock frequency and latency.

Additionally, rather than updating legacy PWRCTL support to conform to the
new PMU interface:

- PWRCTL API is now provided by a bhnd_pwrctl_if.m interface.
- Since PWRCTL is only found in older SSB-based chipsets, translation from
bhnd(4) bus APIs to corresponding PWRCTL operations is now handled
  entirely within the siba(4) driver.
- The PWRCTL-specific host bridge clock gating APIs in bhnd_bus_if.m have
been lifted out into a standalone bhnd_pwrctl_hostb_if.m interface.

As we seem to only read this time on boot, and this is the only source of

this is not always the case with U-Boot firmware, or when we have been
booted from a non-UEFI environment we only enable the device driver when
the Runtime Services are present and reading the time doesn't result in an

2df4d49c45 Update the mlx4 core and mlx4en(4) modules towards Linux v4.9.
Background:
The coming ibcore update forces an update of mlx4ib(4) which in turn requires
an updated mlx4 core module. This also affects the mlx4en(4) module because
commonly used APIs are updated. This commit is a middle step updating the
mlx4 modules towards the new ibcore.

This change contains no major new features.

Changes in mlx4:
  a) Improved error handling when mlx4 PCI devices are
  detached inside VMs.
  b) Major update of codebase towards Linux 4.9.

Changes in mlx4ib(4):
  a) Minimal changes needed in order to compile using the
  updated mlx4 core APIs.

Changes in mlx4en(4):
  a) Update flow steering code in mlx4en to use new APIs for
registering MAC addresses and IP addresses.
  b) Update all statistics counters to be 64-bit.
  c) Minimal changes needed in order to compile using the
  updated mlx4 core APIs.

FIXES
-----

BASE:
- Fixed fw crash caused by MC parity error in SO adapters.
- Generate Timer0Int interrupt if fw crashes due to unaligned access error. Host
driver must look into PCIE_FW register to see if any fw fatal error has
encountered. If PCIE_FW doesn't indicate any error then driver must ignore this
  interrupt.
- Fixed receive buffer threshold settings which was resulting in error frames on
  receive side.

ETH:
- Fixed an issue in connection traffic shaping when
FLOWC_WR->FW_FLOWC_MNEM_SCHEDCLASS is not received in first WR on the connection.
- Fixed link failure when speed is changed from 10G-1G-10G due to incorrect flag
  check.
- Fixed improper LED behaviour for blink test and when traffic is running.
- Removed storage of previous fec settings from fw. Driver needs to pass the user
settings whenever a new module is plugged in as fw resets these when a module is
  unplugged.

OFLD
- OVS offload: TP cache is flushed periodically to get the accuate filters stats
  (hit count).

ENHANCEMENTS
------------

BASE:
- Ring backbone feature added. New FW_PARAMS_PARAM_DEV_RING_BACKBONE param type
added to query and enable ring backbone support.

enables the memfree support (256 connections) for iwarp.
- PTP support enabled.

ETH:
- Added consortium mode 50G support.
- Added the ability to allow only selected speeds to be advertised during auto
  negotiation.
- Increased port capability from 16 to 32 bits to support more speeds.

de7a7877e1 aesni(4): Add support for x86 SHA intrinsics
Some x86 class CPUs have accelerated intrinsics for SHA1 and SHA256.
Provide this functionality on CPUs that support it.

This implements CRYPTO_SHA1, CRYPTO_SHA1_HMAC, and CRYPTO_SHA2_256_HMAC.

Correctness: The cryptotest.py suite in tests/sys/opencrypto has been
enhanced to verify SHA1 and SHA256 HMAC using standard NIST test vectors.
The test passes on this driver. Additionally, jhb's cryptocheck tool has
been used to compare various random inputs against OpenSSL. This test also
passes.

Rough performance averages on AMD Ryzen 1950X (4kB buffer):
aesni: SHA1: ~8300 Mb/s SHA256: ~8000 Mb/s
cryptosoft: ~1800 Mb/s SHA256: ~1800 Mb/s

So ~4.4-4.6x speedup depending on algorithm choice. This is consistent with
the results the Linux folks saw for 4kB buffers.

The driver borrows SHA update code from sys/crypto sha1 and sha256. The
intrinsic step function comes from Intel under a 3-clause BSDL.[0] The
intel_sha_extensions_sha<foo>_intrinsic.c files were renamed and lightly
modified (added const, resolved a warning or two; included the sha_sse
header to declare the functions).

5849e8f575 Add NTB driver for PLX/Avago/Broadcom PCIe switches.
This driver supports both NTB-to-NTB and NTB-to-Root Port modes (though
the second with predictable complications on hot-plug and reboot events).
I tested it with PEX 8717 and PEX 8733 chips, but expect it should work
with many other compatible ones too. It supports up to two NT bridges
per chip, each of which can have up to 2 64-bit or 4 32-bit memory windows,
6 or 12 scratchpad registers and 16 doorbells. There are also 4 DMA engines
in those chips, but they are not yet supported.

While there, rename Intel NTB driver from generic ntb_hw(4) to more specific
ntb_hw_intel(4), so now it is on par with this new ntb_hw_plx(4) driver and
alike to Linux naming.

814b1e36e8 RPI DTS: Add value previously set by VideoCore and DTB links
Using latest U-Boot for RPI 1 or 2 the DTB loaded by the firmware is discarded.
The DTB was previously patched by the firmware to contain the DMA channel mask.
DTB provided by the rpi firmware or DTS in the Linux tree contain the raw value
directly. Do the same for our DTS as we cannot switch to the upstream ones yet.
Not having the DMA channel mask setup properly cause mmc not to be detected
(and probably other problems on driver using DMA).

Also, add links for rpi dtb to the name used by u-boot. This way the dtb can be
loaded by ubldr using the U-Boot env variable fdtfile.

Tested On: RPI B Rev2, RPI Zero, RPI 2 v1.1 RPI 2 v1.2

c51ad5f03a Add support for Intel Software Guard Extensions (Intel SGX).
Intel SGX allows to manage isolated compartments "Enclaves" in user VA
space. Enclaves memory is part of processor reserved memory (PRM) and
always encrypted. This allows to protect user application code and data
from upper privilege levels including OS kernel.

This includes SGX driver and optional linux ioctl compatibility layer.
Intel SGX SDK for FreeBSD is also available.

Note this requires support from hardware (available since late Intel
Skylake CPUs).

75b9060f3c Add a new driver, ds13rtc, that handles all DS13xx series i2c RTC chips.
This driver supports only basic timekeeping functionality. It completely
replaces the ds133x driver. It can also replace the ds1374 driver, but that
will take a few other changes in MIPS code and config, and will be committed
separately. It does NOT replace the existing ds1307 driver, which provides
access to some of the extended features on the 1307 chip, such as controlling
the square wave output signal. If both ds1307 and ds13rtc drivers are
present, the ds1307 driver will outbid and win control of the device.

This driver can be configured with FDT data, or by using hints on non-FDT
systems. In addition to the standard hints for i2c devices, it requires
a "chiptype" string of the form "dallas,ds13xx" where 'xx' is the chip id
(i.e., the same format as FDT compat strings).

a87c7a85be An MMC/SD/SDIO stack using CAM
Implement the MMC/SD/SDIO protocol within a CAM framework. CAM's
flexible queueing will make it easier to write non-storage drivers
than the legacy stack. SDIO drivers from both the kernel and as
userland daemons are possible, though much of that functionality will
come later.

Some of the CAM integration isn't complete (there are sleeps in the
device probe state machine, for example), but those minor issues can
be improved in-tree more easily than out of tree and shouldn't gate
progress on other fronts. Appologies to reviews if specific items
