Most calls to bus_alloc_resource() use "anywhere" as the range, with a given
count. Migrate these to use the new bus_alloc_resource_anywhere() API.

block. Use it in all the PNP drivers to export either the current PNP
table. For uart, create a custom table and export it using
MODULE_PNP_INFO since it's the only one that matches on function

Previously, any timeout value for which (timeout * hz) will overflow the
signed integer, will give weird results, since callout(9) routines will
convert negative values of ticks to '1'. For unsigned integer overflow we
will get sufficiently smaller timeout values than expected.
Switch from callout_reset, which requires conversion to int based ticks
to callout_reset_sbt to avoid this.
Also correct isci to correctly resolve ccb timeout.
This was based on the original work done by Eygene Ryabinkin
<rea@freebsd.org> back in 5 Aug 2011 which used a macro to help avoid
the overlow.

every architecture's busdma_machdep.c. It is done by unifying the
bus_dmamap_load_buffer() routines so that they may be called from MI
code. The MD busdma is then given a chance to do any final processing
in the complete() callback.
The cam changes unify the bus_dmamap_load* handling in cam drivers.
The arm and mips implementations are updated to track virtual
addresses for sync(). Previously this was done in a type specific
way. Now it is done in a generic way by recording the list of
virtuals in the map.

- Move 'free_scbs' into the softc rather than having it be a global list
and convert it to an SLIST instead of a hand-rolled linked-list.
- Use device_printf() and device_get_unit() instead of storing the unit
number in the softc.
- Remove use of explicit bus space handles and tags.
- Don't call device_set_desc() in the pccard attach routine, instead
set a default description during the pccard probe if the matching
product doesn't have a name.

now takes a device_t to be the parent of the bus that is being created.
Most SIMs have been updated with a reasonable argument, but a few exceptions
just pass NULL for now. This argument isn't used yet and the newbus
integration likely won't be ready until after 7.0-RELEASE.

The driver API has changed, so all CAM drivers will need to be recompiled.
The userland API has not changed, so tools like camcontrol do not need to

the CAM_NEW_TRAN_CODE that has been in the tree for some years now.
This first step consists solely of adding to or correcting
CAM_NEW_TRAN_CODE pieces in the kernel source tree such
that a both a GENERIC (at least on i386) and a LINT build
with CAM_NEW_TRAN_CODE as an option will compile correctly
and run (at least with some the h/w I have).
After a short settle time, the other pieces (making
CAM_NEW_TRAN_CODE the default and updating libcam
and camcontrol) will be brought in.
This will be an incompatible change in that the size of structures
related to XPT_PATH_INQ and XPT_{GET,SET}_TRAN_SETTINGS change
in both size and content. However, basic system operation and
basic system utilities work well enough with this change.

Devices below may experience a change in geometry.
* Due to a bug, aic(4) never used extended geometry. Changes all drives
>1G to now use extended translation.
* sbp(4) drives exactly 1 GB in size now no longer use extended geometry.
* umass(4) drives exactly 1 GB in size now no longer use extended geometry.
For all other controllers in this commit, this should be a no-op.

at insert time. When asking gibbs for approval for an MFC, this was
his reply:
1) It leaks memory if it can't allocate a path.
2) It defers allocation of aic->path until the call to scan the
bus. This means the path may be NULL when an interrupt occurs
prior to the call to scan the bus (stray bus reset for instance),
which will lead to a panic.
3) The driver in current doesn't recover from the failure to allocate
aic->path. The driver doesn't check during normal operation if
the path is NULL, so again a panic will result.
4) aic_cam_rescan calls malloc with M_WAITOK. aic_cam_rescan is called
from attach where it isn't necessarily safe to sleep.
5) And most importantly, it co-opts the xpt_periph from the driver level.
This was never part of the design (xpt_periph used to be static). Making
a call of this type may completely confuse the XPT if other XPT operations
are ongoing.
In the long term, Justin and Warner agreed to implement solution where
CAM itself will initiate the bus rescan if a new bus is added. For
the time being (and in particular in light of the upcoming 4.5
release), we now have camcontrol available on the boot floppy, and can
have pccardd initiate the rescan through it.
- enable 10MHz (fast SCSI) operation on boards that support it. (only
aic6360 boards with fast SCSI enabled can do it)
- bounds check sync periods and offsets passed in from the transport layer
- tell the user which resource allocation failed (for the ISA probe) if we
weren't able to allocate an IRQ, DRQ or I/O port.
