808a36ef65 Make the long-awaited change from $Id$ to $FreeBSD$ 
This will make a number of things easier in the future, as well as (finally!)
avoiding the Id-smashing problem which has plagued developers for so long.

Boy, I'm glad we're not using sup anymore.  This update would have been
insane otherwise.

104718bd5b Made this work for non-root again. The security fixes in rev.1.11 
were equivalent to disabling its setgid'ness, since the default
kernel was not distinguished from a user-specified kernel.
