changes, so don't expect to be able to run the kernel as-is (very well) without the appropriate Lite/2 userland changes. The system boots and can mount UFS filesystems. Untested: ext2fs, msdosfs, NFS Known problems: Incorrect Berkeley ID strings in some files. Mount_std mounts will not work until the getfsent library routine is changed. * Name caching works as follows:
*
* Names found by directory scans are retained in a cache
* for future reference. It is managed LRU, so frequently
* used names will hang around. Cache is indexed by hash value
* obtained from (vp, name) where vp refers to the directory
* containing name.
*
* If it is a "negative" entry, (i.e. for a name that is known NOT to
* exist) the vnode pointer will be NULL.
*
* For simplicity (and economy of storage), names longer than
* a maximum length of NCHNAMLEN are not cached; they occur
* infrequently in any case, and are almost never of interest.
*
* Upon reaching the last segment of a path, if the reference
