rmacklem 24c0b1c5e0 Minor code cleanup that removes "nd->nd_bpos = mcp;" in both if and else. 
The statement "nd->nd_bpos = mcp;" was in both the if and else. Correct,
but potentially confusing.  This patch fixes this.

There should be no semantics change caused by this commit.
