in pmd configuration behaviour introduced in commit
a130f531187249a88 (add link state interrupt flag)
- Added fixes to allow the ability to re-run test suite from test
application without restarting application

Variable "valid_slave" wasn't getting properly zero-initialized.
This error is flagged by clang on compile.
