133b75923b mk: add library version extension
To differentiate libraries that break ABI, we add a library version number
suffix to the library, which must be incremented when a given libraries ABI is
broken. This patch enforces that addition, sets the initial abi soname
extension to 1 for each library and creates a symlink to the base SONAME so that
the test applications will link properly.

01e66999ef nic_uio: fix thread structure compatibility for future FreeBSD
Replace d_thread_t with struct thread in nic_uio.

Ref: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=196691
Quote:
"The d_thread_t typedef is a compat shim to support FreeBSD 4.x.
I'm planning to remove this shim from 11 and dpdk is very unlikely

If it does it will need far more changes than just d_thread_t"

be04c70727 eal/bsd: remove unused HPET support

8552f950ee eal: factorize configuration adjustment
Some adjustments are done after options parsing and are common
to Linux and BSD.

Remove process_type adjustment in rte_config_init() because
it is already done in eal_parse_args().
eal_proc_type_detect() is kept duplicated because it open a
file descriptor which is used later in each eal.c.

f2c4afab58 contigmem: fix buffer overrun on unload
The maximum mount contiguous memory regions for FreeBSD is limited by
RTE_CONTIGMEM_MAX_NUM_BUFS, a pointer to each region is stored in
static void * contigmem_buffers[RTE_CONTIGMEM_MAX_NUM_BUFS]

A user can specify a greater amount via hw.contigmem.num_buffers,
while the allocation logic will prevent this allocation from occuring the logic
in contigmem_unload() will attempt to free hw.contigmem.num_buffers and an
overrun occurs.

This patch limits the freeing to a maximum of RTE_CONTIGMEM_MAX_NUM_BUFS.

e57f20e051 eal: make vdev init path generic for both virtual and pci devices
Currently, physical device pmds use a separate initalization path

4bf3fe634a devargs: replace --use-device option by --pci-whitelist and --vdev for bsd
The bsdapp part was missing in commit cac6d08c8b.

This commit splits the "--use-device" option in two new options:

- "--pci-whitelist or -w": add a PCI device in the white list
- "--vdev": instanciate a new virtual device

9a9f7f8d3a mem: get dummy physical address in case of --no-huge with bsd
The bsdapp part was missing in commit 57c24af85d.

This commit adds a dummy rte_mem_virt2phy() to fix the compilation of
DPDK under BSD. This function is only used when the debug option
"--no-huge" is given, to get the physical address of mempools in memory.

As a result, it seems acceptable for now to implement a dummy function
to fix the compilation as the usual case (using contigmem module) works
properly.

9fa5e2b026 vdev: rename nonpci_devs as vdev
The name "nonpci_devs" for virtual devices is ambiguous as a physical
device can also be non-PCI (ex: usb, sata, ...). A better name for this
file is "vdev" as it only deals with virtual devices.

This patch doesn't introduce any change except renaming.
