97c3271781 net/bnxt: fix queue release
Some of the ring related memory was not being freed in both the release
ops. Fix to free them now.
Add some more NULL ptr checks in the corresponding queue_release_mbufs()
and queue_release_op() respectively.
Also call queue_release_op() in the error path of the corresponding
queue_setup_op()

dadff13793 net/sfc: support encap flow items in transfer rules
Add support for flow items VXLAN, Geneve and NVGRE to
MAE-specific RTE flow implementation.

Having support for these items implies the ability to insert
so-called outer MAE rules and refer to them in MAE action rules.
The patch takes care of all necessary facilities to do that.

1e7fbdf0ba net/sfc: support concept of switch domains/ports
A later patch will add support for RTE flow action PORT_ID
to MAE backend. The driver has to ensure that such actions
refer to RTE ethdev instances deployed on top of the same
physical device. Also, the driver needs a means to find
sibling RTE ethdev instances when parsing such actions.

In order to solve these problems, add a switch infrastructure
which allocates switch domains based on persistence of device
serial number string across switch ports included in a domain.
Explain mapping between RTE switch port IDs and MAE endpoints.

Wrongly, last code added to mitigate the reference counters didn't take
into account the above rule and combined the configurations and HW

This causes to memory leak and other memory issues.

c0d002aed9 gso: fix mbuf freeing responsibility
rte_gso_segment decreased refcnt of pkt by one, but
it is wrong if pkt is external mbuf, pkt won't be
freed because of incorrect refcnt, the result is
application can't allocate mbuf from mempool because
mbufs in mempool are run out of.

One correct way is application should call
rte_pktmbuf_free after calling rte_gso_segment to free
pkt explicitly. rte_gso_segment must not handle it, this
should be responsibility of application.

This commit changed rte_gso_segment in functional behavior
and return value, so the application must take appropriate
actions according to return values, "ret < 0" means it
should free and drop 'pkt', "ret == 0" means 'pkt' isn't
GSOed but 'pkt' can be transmitted as a normal packet,
"ret > 0" means 'pkt' has been GSOed into two or multiple
segments, it should use "pkts_out" to transmit these
segments. The application must free 'pkt' after call
rte_gso_segment when return value isn't equal to 0.

af270529ad ethdev: include mbuf registration in Tx timestamp API
Previously, the Tx timestamp field and flag were registered in testpmd,
as described in mlx5 guide.
For consistency between Rx and Tx timestamps,
managing mbuf registrations inside the driver, as properly documented,
is a simpler expectation.

The only driver to support this feature (mlx5) is updated

a20b2c01a7 build: standardize component names and defines
As discussed on the dpdk-dev mailing list[1], we can make some easy
improvements in standardizing the naming of the various components in DPDK,
and their associated feature-enabled macros.

Following this patch, each library will have the name in format,
'librte_<name>.so', and the macro indicating that library is enabled in the
build will have the form 'RTE_LIB_<NAME>'.

Similarly, for libraries, the equivalent name formats and macros are:
'librte_<class>_<name>.so' and 'RTE_<CLASS>_<NAME>', where class is the
device type taken from the relevant driver subdirectory name, i.e. 'net',
'crypto' etc.

To avoid too many changes at once for end applications, the old macro names
will still be provided in the build in this release, but will be removed
subsequently.

f30e69b41f ethdev: add device flag to bypass auto-filled queue xstats
Queue stats are stored in 'struct rte_eth_stats' as array and array size
is defined by 'RTE_ETHDEV_QUEUE_STAT_CNTRS' compile time flag.

As a result of technical board discussion, decided to remove the queue
statistics from 'struct rte_eth_stats' in the long term.

Instead PMDs should represent the queue statistics via xstats, this
gives more flexibility on the number of the queues supported.

Currently queue stats in the xstats are filled by ethdev layer, using
some basic stats, when queue stats removed from basic stats the
responsibility to fill the relevant xstats will be pushed to the PMDs.

During the switch period, temporary 'RTE_ETH_DEV_AUTOFILL_QUEUE_XSTATS'
device flag is created. Initially all PMDs using xstats set this flag.
The PMDs implemented queue stats in the xstats should clear the flag.

When all PMDs switch to the xstats for the queue stats, queue stats
related fields from 'struct rte_eth_stats' will be removed, as well as
'RTE_ETH_DEV_AUTOFILL_QUEUE_XSTATS' flag.
Later 'RTE_ETHDEV_QUEUE_STAT_CNTRS' compile time flag also can be
removed.

and marked as such with "dev_started" state zeroed by the stop API.

Resetting "dev_started" before calling the driver close operation
was hiding the case of not properly stopped port being closed.
The flag "dev_started" is not changed anymore in "rte_eth_dev_close()".

In case the "dev_stop" function is called from "dev_close",
bypassing "rte_eth_dev_stop()" API,
the "dev_started" state must be explicitly reset in the PMD
in order to keep the same behaviour.

97602faa9e net/bonding: fix possible unbalanced packet receiving
Current Rx round robin policy for the slaves has two issue:

1. active_slave in bond_dev_private is shared by multiple PMDS which
maybe cause some slave Rx hungry, for example, there is two PMD and
two slave port, both PMDs start to receive, and see that active_slave
is 0, and receive from slave 0, after complete, they increase
active_slave by one, totally active_slave are increased by two, next
time, they will start to receive from slave 0 again, at last, slave 1
maybe drop packets during to not be polled by PMD

2. active_slave is shared and written by multiple PMD in RX path for
every time RX, this is a kind of cache false share, low performance.

So move active_slave from bond_dev_private to bond_rx_queue make it as
per queue variable

Fixing by removing config check in meson file and build all .c files by

Also removing 'RTE_LIBRTE_IEEE1588' ifdef around some fields of the data

e9b9739264 config: remap flags used for Arm platforms
RTE_ARCH_xx flags are used to distinguish platform architectures.
These flags can be used to pick different code paths for different
architectures at compile time.
For Arm platforms, there are 3 flags in use: RTE_ARCH_ARM,
RTE_ARCH_ARMv7 and RTE_ARCH_ARM64.
RTE_ARCH_ARM64 is for 64-bit aarch64 platforms,
and RTE_ARCH_ARM & RTE_ARCH_ARMv7 are for 32-bit platforms.
RTE_ARCH_ARMv7 is for ARMv7 platforms as its name suggested.

The issue is meaning of RTE_ARCH_ARM is not clear enough.
Because no info about platform word length is included in the name.
To make the flag names more clear, a naming scheme is proposed.

RTE_ARCH_ARM (all Arm platforms)
    |
+----RTE_ARCH_32 (New. 32-bit platforms of all architectures)
    | |
    | +----RTE_ARCH_ARMv7 (ARMv7 platforms)
    | |
    | +----RTE_ARCH_ARMv8_AARCH32 (aarch32 state on aarch64 machine)
    |
+----RTE_ARCH_64 (64-bit platforms of all architectures)
             |
             +----RTE_ARCH_ARM64 (64-bit Arm platforms)

RTE_ARCH_32 will be explicitly defined for 32-bit platforms.

To fit into the new naming scheme, current usage of RTE_ARCH_ARM in
project is mapped to (RTE_ARCH_ARM && RTE_ARCH_32).

Matching flags for other architectures are:
RTE_ARCH_X86
    |
    +----RTE_ARCH_32
    | |
    | +----RTE_ARCH_I686
    | |
    | +----RTE_ARCH_X86_X32
    |
    +----RTE_ARCH_64
             |
             +----RTE_ARCH_X86_64

RTE_ARCH_PPC_64 ---- RTE_ARCH_64

During a kernel PF reset, this event is propagated to the VF.
The DPDK VF PMD will execute the reset task before the PF is done
with his. This results in the admin queue message not being responded
to leaving the port in "promiscuous" mode.

This patch makes sure the promiscuous mode is configured independently
of the current admin state.

1541a9d6b0 net/iavf: set min and max MTU for VF
This commit sets the min and max supported MTU values for iavf VF
devices via the iavf_dev_info_get() function. Min MTU supported
is set to RTE_ETHER_MIN_MTU and max MTU is calculated as the max
packet length supported minus the transport overhead.

c02ea7410e net/iavf: fix flow flush after PF reset
When VF begin reset after PF reset, VF will be uninitialized at first
and then be initialized, during the time any invalid cmd such as flow
flush should not be sent to PF until the uninitialization is finished.

657df3ca0a net/mlx5: disable dump of Verbs flows
There was a segment fault when dump flows with device argument of
dv_flow_en=0. In such case, Verbs flow engine was enabled and fdb
resources were not initialized. It's suggested to use mlx_fs_dump
for Verbs flow dump.

This patch adds verbs engine check, prints warning message and return
gracefully.

af57c49ca1 net/bnxt: fix link update
1. When port is stopped, we can forcibly set the link status for the
   device to down.
2. VFs and MH PFs do not have the privilege to bring the link down.
As a result driver prints "Link Up" when port is stopped.
3. When driver receives link status/speed/config async event from fw,
   driver invokes bnxt_link_update() with exp_link_status as ETH_LINK_UP
This is not logically correct as the async event could be for Link up
or link down or for speed change.

separated to another file.
By this way, the build can easily cut the unsupported Verbs APIs from
