bc38882760 Revert r350841. I didn't realize that on this chip, reading the interrupt
status register clears pending interrupts. By moving that code out of the
interrupt handler into a taskqueue task, I effectively created an interrupt
storm by returning from the handler with the interrupt source still active.

We'll have to find a different solution for this driver's need to sleep
in an ithread context.

2a002a0549 Remove use of intr_config_hook from the am335x_pmic and tda19988 drivers.
Long ago this was needed, but now low-level i2c controller drivers cleverly
defer attachment of the bus until interrupts are enabled (if they require
interrupts to function), so that every i2c slave device doesn't have to.

ef558a1078 Add support for the PWM(9) API. This allows configuring the pwm output using
pwm(9), but also maintains the historical sysctl config interface for
compatiblity with existing apps. The two config systems are not compatible
with each other; if you use both interfaces to change configurations you're
likely to end up with incorrect output or none at all.

3103a7eef7 Some mundane tweaks and cleanups to help de-clutter the diffs of some
upcoming functional changes.

Add an ofw_compat_data table for probing compat strings, and use it to add
PNP data. Remove some stray semicolons at the end of macro definitions,
and add a PWM_LOCK_ASSERT macro to round out the usual suite. Move the
device_t and driver_methods structs to the end of the file. Tweak comments.

2d5913e4f4 Add a missing #include. I suspect this used to get included via some header
pollution that was cleaned up recently, and this file got missed in the
cleanup because it's not attached to the build unless you specifically
request this device in a custom kernel config.

e12be3218a Include eventhandler.h in more compilation units
This was enumerated with exhaustive search for sys/eventhandler.h includes,
cross-referenced against EVENTHANDLER_* usage with the comm(1) utility. Manual
checking was performed to avoid redundant includes in some drivers where a
common os_bsd.h (for example) included sys/eventhandler.h indirectly, but it is
possible some of these are redundant with driver-specific headers in ways I
didn't notice.

(These CUs did not show up as missing eventhandler.h in tinderbox.)

41cd649615 am335x_prcm: Delay the frequencies read check
With Linux 4.17 dts the compatible for the prcm added 'simplebus' we mean
that the simplebus driver will attach to it at the BUS_PASS_BUS pass.
Change the pass for the prcm driver to be at BUS_PASS_BUS so we will win
the attach.
This introduce a problem as this driver needs the ti_scm one to be already
attached. ti_scm also attach at BUS_PASS_BUS but after the prcm one as it is
after in the dtb and the simplebus driver simpy walk the tree to attach it's
children.
Use the bus_new_pass method to defer the frequencies read at BUS_PASS_TIMER.
This fixes booting on BeagleBone*

108117cc22 [ofw] fix errneous checks for OF_finddevice(9) return value
OF_finddevices returns ((phandle_t)-1) in case of failure. Some code
in existing drivers checked return value to be equal to 0 or
less/equal to 0 which is also wrong because phandle_t is unsigned
type. Most of these checks were for negative cases that were never
triggered so trhere was no impact on functionality.

2d09b07279 Make kernel option KERNVIRTADDR optional, remove it from std.<platform>
files that can use the default value.

It used to be required that the low-order bits of KERNVIRTADDR matched
the low-order bits of the physical load address for all arm platforms.
That hasn't been a requirement for armv6 platforms since FreeBSD 10.
There is no longer any relationship between load addr and KERNVIRTADDR
except that both must be aligned to a 2 MiB boundary.

This change makes the default KERNVIRTADDR value 0xc0000000, and removes the
options from all the platforms that can use the default value. The default
is now defined in vmparam.h, and that file is now included in a few new
places that reference KERNVIRTADDR, since it may not come in via the
forced-include of opt_global.h on the compile command line.

af3dc4a7ca sys/arm: further adoption of SPDX licensing ID tags.
Mainly focus on files that use BSD 2-Clause license, however the tool I
was using misidentified many licenses so this was mostly a manual - error
prone - task.

The Software Package Data Exchange (SPDX) group provides a specification
to make it easier for automated tools to detect and summarize well known
opensource licenses. We are gradually adopting the specification, noting
that the tags are considered only advisory and do not, in any way,
superceed or replace the license texts.

dda1957040 [am335x] Fix HDMI suport for Beaglebone Black
Fallback to Linux video interface bindings introduced in r313068 worked
with then current DTS but that DTS turned out to be not conformant to
the the bindings spec. DTS import in r314854 fixed the conformancy but
broke the functionality. This commit syncs up functionality to the actual
spec.

93a065e749 Remake support for SMP kernel on UP cpu:
- Use new option SMP_ON_UP instead of (mis)using specific CPU type.
By this, any SMP kernel can be compiled with SMP_ON_UP support.
 - Enable runtime detection of CPU multiprocessor extensions only
if SMP_ON_UP option is used. In other cases (pure SMP or UP),
   statically compile only required variant.
 - Don't leak multiprocessor instructions to UP kernel.
 - Correctly handle data cache write back to point of unification.
DCCMVAU is supported on all armv7 cpus.
 - For SMP_ON_UP kernels, detect proper TTB flags on runtime.

878097c10e [am335x] Fallback to standard video interface bindings when using Linux dts
Historically AM335x LCDC driver used non-standard "hdmi" property to
refer to HDMI framer. There is no such thing in upstream DTS, so to
handle both cases fallback to bindings described in
bindings/media/video-interfaces.txt in Linux documentation.

We still make some assumptions that are not universally true: we
assume that if remote endpoint is available it's going to be HDMI
framer. Which is true for AM335x-based devices currently supported
but may be not true for some custom hardware.

28b3a4a659 Configure the timer capture pin to input mode in the timer control
register, in addition to configuring it as input with the pinmux driver.

There was a control register bit commented as "no desc in datasheet". A
later revision of the manual reveals the bit to be an input/output control
for the timer pin. In addition to configuring capture or pulse mode, you
apparently have to separately configure the pin direction in the timer
control register.

Before this change, the timer block was apparently driving a signal onto a
pad configured by pinmux as input. Capture mode still accidentally worked
for me during testing because I was using a very strong signal source that
just out-muscled the weaker drive from the misconfigured pin.

d3bf5efc1f Fix device delete child function.
When detaching device trees parent devices must be detached prior to
detaching its children. This is because parent devices can have
pointers to the child devices in their softcs which are not
invalidated by device_delete_child(). This can cause use after free
issues and panic().

Device drivers implementing trees, must ensure its detach function
detaches or deletes all its children before returning.

While at it remove now redundant device_detach() calls before
device_delete_child() and device_delete_children(), mostly in
the USB controller drivers.

33fe8378ba If present, honor the USB port mode (host or peripheral) set on DTS, if not,
keep the beaglebone defaults: USB0 -> peripheral/gadget, USB1 -> host.

This is only a workaround as in fact fact this hardware is capable of detect
the USB port mode based on type of cable and act according with the detected
mode. Unfortunately the driver does not handle that at moment.
