It seems a shame to ruin the patina of the June 4, 1993 date
on abort.3, especially since it still matched the date of
the SCCS ID, but those are the rules.

Also add C99 conformity status plus clarification that C99 leaves the
flushing of unwritten data, closure of open streams, and removal of
temporary files to the implementation.

man page, separated from the rest of the manpage by an empty comment,
like so;

If the immediately preceding comment is a @(#) format ID marker than the
the $Id$ will line up underneath it with no intervening blank lines.
Otherwise, an additional blank line is inserted.
