In order to support various types of data stored in device
tree properties or ACPI _DSD packages, create a new enum so
the caller can specify the expected type of a property they
want to read, according to the binding. The bus logic will use
that information to process the underlying data.
For example in DT all integer properties are stored in BE format.
In order to get constant results across different platforms we
need to convert its endianness to match the host.
Another example are ACPI_TYPE_INTEGER properties stored
as uint64_t. Before this patch the ACPI logic would refuse
to read them if the provided buffer was smaller than 8 bytes.
Now this can be handled by using DEVICE_PROP_UINT32 type.
Modify the existing consumers of this API to reflect the changes
and update the man pages accordingly.

There are multiple buses that pretend to be ofw compatible,
e.g ofw_pci, mii_fdt. We now need to provide an implementation
of BUS_GET_PROPERTY for every one of them. Instead of modifying
them one by one it's better to just provide a default
implementation that simply traverses up the device tree.
Remove the now unneeded BUS_GET_PROPERTY implementation in mii_fdt.

which means that we rely on miibus to handle the allocation.

DP83822 is a 10/100 Texas Instruments PHY.
Link status change interrupts are supported by the driver,
however not all boards have the PHY interrupt wired.
Because of that if failure to allocate an IRQ is not treated as an error.

Create a new miibus OFW specific layer leveraging miibus_fdt.c code.
PHY drivers can than read the properties using device_get_property(9) API.
Resource(interrupt) allocation is also supported.
In order to enable this each NIC/switch driver will have to be modified,
because of how miibus is attached to the parent driver.

In some cases we might want to limit the max speed advertised below of what
the PHY is capable of.
This is usually the case when we connect 1G capable PHY to 100M MAC, or when
some exotic physical connection is used.
Add a new mii_maxspeed field to mii_softc and parse it in mii_phy_dev_attach.
Speed limit is normally located in DT.
The property is already parsed in mii_fdt.c, but its value still has to be
passed by the PHY driver.

Previously we would only search for a PHY xref in node of the miibus
parent.
That didn't work very well with switches.
Fix that by searching through "ports" subnode, checking if any of its
children have a valid PHY xref.
Since switches tend to have multiple ports we also have multiple
candidates.
Use the PHY address read from mii_attach_args to find the right one.

Now that the upper layers all go through a layer to tie into these
information functions that translates an sbuf into char * and len. The
current interface suffers issues of what to do in cases of truncation,
etc. Instead, migrate all these functions to using struct sbuf and these
issues go away. The caller is also in charge of any memory allocation
and/or expansion that's needed during this process.
Create a bus_generic_child_{pnpinfo,location} and make it default. It
just returns success. This is for those busses that have no information
for these items. Migrate the now-empty routines to using this as
appropriate.
Document these new interfaces with man pages, and oversight from before.

This chip is used in the Rasperry Pi 4, and is supported by the if_genet
driver. Currently we use the ukphy mii driver, this patch switches over
to the brgphy mii driver instead. To support the rgmii-rxid phy mode,
which is now the default in the Linux dtb, we add support for clock
skewing.
These changes are taken from OpenBSD and NetBSD, except for the bailout
in brgphy_bcm54xx_clock_delay() in rgmii mode, which was found necessary
after testing.

system retrieve its config data from the fdt data.
The properties that are common to all phys are decoded and returned in a
structure. The fdt node handles for the mac and phy devices are also
returned in the config data struct, so a driver can easily obtain additional
hardware-specific config values from the fdt data.
While the initial need for this is to help support phy drivers which are
configured with FDT data, there is nothing devicetree-specific about the
concept or the names, so they are available for use even on non-FDT systems.
The initial list of connection types comes from the current devicetree
bindings documentation, but values not documented there can be added to
the list in the future as needed, the values could be sorted into a
different order without perturbing FDT code, etc. The only invariant
is that MII_CONTYPE_UNKNOWN should be first (so it has a value of zero,
so that a con-type variable in a softc, for example, is initialized to
MII_CONTYPE_UNKNOWN by default).
The only thing this phy needs that the ukphy driver doesn't provide is
that the value in the proprietary Phy Control 2 Register must be saved
before doing a soft reset and restored afterwards. Most modern phys have
"sticky bits" for low-level config that survive a reset, but on this one
the values in all registers go back to defaults, wiping out any board-
specific config set up by the bootloader/bios/whatever.
It seems the EEE made RX MAC enter LPI(Low Power Idle) mode such
that dwc(4) was not able to receive packets. Ideally dwc(4) should
be able to use EEE to save power during periods of low link
utilization(i.e. gating off clock). Due to lack of dwc(4)
datasheet it's not easy to take required steps for EEE on LPI
enter/exit events. Disabling EEE in PHY seems to be easy
workaround until dwc(4) supports EEE.
Updating EEE advertisement register on RTL8211F seems to have no
effect until reprogramming MII_ANAR, MII_100T2CR and MII_BMCR
with auto-negotiation. It's not clear whether it's related with
mii_phy_reset()'s BMCR_ISO handling for RTL8211F though.
It seems rgephy_reset() needs careful investigation for newer
RealTek PHYs.

the index array, not a value for BMCR register. In case of IFM_10_T there
could be either MII_MEDIA_10_T or MII_MEDIA_10_T_FDX, which are 1 and 2,
accordingly. Neither matches a valid BMCR value. My guessing is that this
write is harmless, since later mii_phy_setmedia() would write a proper
value there.
The code is here since the initial checkin. Note that case IFM_100_TX has
the same comment, but a proper value of BMCR_ISO is written. So, collapse
two cases into one, always writing there BMCR_ISO.
