a4bf542111 app/testpmd: add option to fix multi-mempool check
Add new testpmd command line argument, multi-rx-mempool,
to control multi-rx-mempool feature. By default it's disabled.

Also, validate ethdev parameter 'max_rx_mempools' to know whether
device supports multi-mempool feature or not.

d252801d4e doc: fix spaces in testpmd flow syntax
In flow syntax documentation, there is example for create pattern
template.

Before the example, miss a blank line causing it to look regular bold
text.
In addition, inside the example, it uses tab instead of spaces which
expand the indentation in one line.

This patch adds the blank line and replaces tab with spaces.

966eb55e9a ethdev: add queue-based API to report aged flow rules
When application use queue-based flow rule management and operate the
same flow rule on the same queue, e.g create/destroy/query, API of
querying aged flow rules should also have queue id parameter just like
other queue-based flow APIs.

By this way, PMD can work in more optimized way since resources are
isolated by queue and needn't synchronize.

If application do use queue-based flow management but configure port
without RTE_FLOW_PORT_FLAG_STRICT_QUEUE, which means application operate
a given flow rule on different queues, the queue id parameter will
be ignored.

dcc9a80c20 ethdev: add strict queue to pre-configuration flow hints
The data-path focused flow rule management can manage flow rules in more
optimized way than traditional one by using hints provided by
application in initialization phase.

In addition to the current hints we have in port attr, more hints could
be provided by application about its behaviour.

One example is how the application do with the same flow rule ?
A. create/destroy flow on same queue but query flow on different queue
or queue-less way (i.e, counter query)
B. All flow operations will be exactly on the same queue, by which PMD
could be in more optimized way then A because resource could be
isolated and access based on queue, without lock, for example.

This patch add flag about above situation and could be extended to cover
more situations.

eb0d471a89 ethdev: add proactive error handling mode
Some PMDs (e.g. hns3) could detect hardware or firmware errors, one
error recovery mode is to report RTE_ETH_EVENT_INTR_RESET event, and
wait for application invoke rte_eth_dev_reset() to recover the port,
however, this mode has the following weaknesses:

1) Due to different hardware and software design, some NIC port recovery
process requires multiple handshakes with the firmware and PF (when the
port is VF). It takes a long time to complete the entire operation for
one port, If multiple ports (for example, multiple VFs of a PF) are
reset at the same time, other VFs may fail to be reset. (Because the
reset processing is serial, the previous VFs must be processed before
the subsequent VFs).

2) The impact on the application layer is great, and it should stop
working queues, stop calling Rx and Tx functions, and then call
rte_eth_dev_reset(), and re-setup all again.

This patch introduces proactive error handling mode, the PMD will try
to recover from the errors itself. In this process, the PMD sets the
data path pointers to dummy functions (which will prevent the crash),
and also make sure the control path operations failed with retcode
-EBUSY.

Because the PMD recovers automatically, the application can only sense
that the data flow is disconnected for a while and the control API
returns an error in this period.

In order to sense the error happening/recovering, three events were
introduced:

1) RTE_ETH_EVENT_ERR_RECOVERING: used to notify the application that it
detected an error and the recovery is being started. Upon receiving the
event, the application should not invoke any control path APIs until
receiving RTE_ETH_EVENT_RECOVERY_SUCCESS or
RTE_ETH_EVENT_RECOVERY_FAILED event.

2) RTE_ETH_EVENT_RECOVERY_SUCCESS: used to notify the application that
it recovers successful from the error, the PMD already re-configures the
port, and the effect is the same as that of the restart operation.

3) RTE_ETH_EVENT_RECOVERY_FAILED: used to notify the application that it
recovers failed from the error, the port should not usable anymore. The
application should close the port.

52e2e7edcf app/testpmd: add protocol-based buffer split
Add command line parameter:
--rxhdrs=eth[,ipv4]

Set the protocol_hdr of segments to scatter packets on receiving if
split feature is engaged. And the queues with BUFFER_SPLIT flag.

Add interactive mode command:
testpmd>set rxhdrs eth,ipv4,ipv4-udp
(protocol sequence should be valid)

The protocol split feature is off by default. To enable protocol split,
you need:
1. Start testpmd with multiple mempools. E.g. --mbuf-size=2048,2048
2. Configure Rx queue with rx_offload buffer split on.
3. Set the protocol type of buffer split. E.g. set rxhdrs eth,eth-ipv4
(default protocols of testpmd : eth|ipv4|ipv6|ipv4-tcp|ipv6-tcp|
         ipv4-udp|ipv6-udp|ipv4-sctp|ipv6-sctp|grenat|inner-eth|
         inner-ipv4|inner-ipv6|inner-ipv4-tcp|inner-ipv6-tcp|
         inner-ipv4-udp|inner-ipv6-udp|inner-ipv4-sctp|inner-ipv6-sctp)
Above protocols can be configured in testpmd. But the configuration can

6838dd4bf9 ethdev: add send to kernel action
In some cases application may receive a packet that should have been
received by the kernel. In this case application uses KNI or other means
to transfer the packet to the kernel.

With bifurcated driver we can have a rule to route packets matching
a pattern (example: IPv4 packets) to the DPDK application and the rest
of the traffic will be received by the kernel.
But if we want to receive most of the traffic in DPDK except specific
pattern (example: ICMP packets) that should be processed by the kernel,
then it's easier to re-route these packets with a single rule.

This commit introduces new rte_flow action which allows application to
re-route packets directly to the kernel without software involvement.

Add new testpmd rte_flow action 'send_to_kernel'. The application
may use this action to route the packet to the kernel while still
in the HW.

Example with testpmd command:

flow create 0 ingress priority 0 group 1 pattern eth type spec 0x0800
type mask 0xffff / end actions send_to_kernel / end

204daeea01 ethdev: add protocol parameter to color table update
Using rte_mtr_color_in_protocol_set(), user can configure
combination of protocol headers, like outer_vlan and outer_ip,
can be enabled on given meter object.

But rte_mtr_meter_vlan_table_update() and
rte_mtr_meter_dscp_table_update() do not have information that
which table needs to be updated corresponding to protocol header
i.e. inner or outer.

Adding protocol paramreter will allow user to provide required
protocol information so that corresponding inner or outer table
can be updated corresponding to protocol header.

If user wishes to configure both inner and outer table then
API must be called twice with correct protocol information.

26b7259a79 app/testpmd: support GRE option flow item
Add gre_option command for matching optional fields
(checksum/key/sequence) in GRE header. The item must follow gre item,
and the item does not change the flags in gre item, the application
should set the flags in gre item correspondingly.
Application can still use gre_key item 'gre_key value is xx' for key
matching, the effect is the same with using 'gre_option key is xx'.

The examples for gre_option are as follows:

To match on checksum field with value 0x11:
testpmd> ... pattern / eth / gre c_bit is 1 / gre_option checksum is
		0x11 / end ..

To match on checksum field with value 0x11 and any value of key:
testpmd> ... pattern / eth / gre c_bit is 1 k_bit is 1 / gre_option
		checksum is 0x11 / end ..

To match on checksum field with value 0x11 and no key field in packet:
testpmd> ... pattern / eth / gre c_bit is 1 k_bit is 0 / gre_option
		checksum is 0x11 / end ..

The invalid patterns for gre_option are as follows:

testpmd> ... pattern / eth / gre / gre_option checksum is 0x11 / end ..
(c_bit in gre item not present)
testpmd> ... pattern / eth / gre c_bit is 0 / gre_option checksum is 0x11 /
end .. (c_bit is unset for gre item, but checksum is
		specified by gre_option item)

2490bb8971 app/testpmd: fix flow transfer proxy port handling
The current approach detects the proxy port on each port (re-)plug and
may spam the log with error messages if the PMD does not support flows.
As testpmd is a debug tool, it must not do such implicit port handling.
Instead, the new API should be called only when the user requests that.

Revoke the existing code. Implement an explicit command-line primitive
to let the user find the proxy port themselves. Provide relevant hints.
