Most to-do items in lib/bdev/iscsi/README have been
done a long time ago, leaving this file greatly outdated.
It is removed now and the iSCSI bdev description is
added to doc/bdev.md.
Since most of the to-do items have been done, this
patch also adds a CHANGELOG entry announcing that
iSCSI bdev is no longer in experimental state.

In JSON RPC the ID is optional. Method is mandatory but user might want
to produce the name later or by using
spdk_json_write_named_string_fmt(). This patch also changes the argument
order.

If JSON structure is not known it is hard to use it with current API. To
address this gap lets add API that will give more flexibility the user.
This patch also adds proper unit tests.

All PCI device management is done only by the primary process,
so there's no need to delay device initialization in secondary
processes. If device is being initialized in a secondary
process, then it must have been already initialized by the
primary.

This indicates an out-of-spec device, so just print an error
message but don't bother retrying the AER.
While here, add status code type (sct) check for the other
status code check when an AER fails - it is not enough to
compare just the status code.

Users can specify this flag on the make command line to
pass extra CFLAGS to the DPDK submodule build. This can
be used with older compilers that are not supported by
DPDK, and require -fno-strict-aliasing to compile.

In the case that the subsystem in the related poll group has
NULL IO channel assigned due to some problem like out of resource,
for example, the NVMe SSD hardware itself has limited number
of IO qpairs. The subsystems in the particular poll group
could have zero valid channels. In this case, the creation of
assoicated poll group will fail and when adding the new qpair
to the specified poll group, needs to have a check and pick the
available poll group.

We have hairy configuration method. First configure script uses CONFIG,
environment and arguments to produce CONFIG.local and config.h then
makefile uses CONFIG, environment and CONFIG.local to produce config.h
again. First time config.h can't be generated reliably as config.h
target in Makefile is passing MAKEFLAGS and they are unknown at
configuration phase.
Lets remove this mess by producing final mk/config.mk file and get rid
of CONFIG.local. This will also generate full build configuration in one
file instead scattering them in CONFIG and CONFIG.local.
In next patch scripts/genconfig.py can be removed.

This will resolve out-of-space errors that have cropped
up as SPDK continues to grow. There's no need to copy
*.o files to the mounted filesystem - we 'make clean'
right after the rsync anyways.

If raid bdev creation failed, the bdev still be configuring and not
register it. For those raid bdev, raid_bdev_remove_base_bdev() should
cleanup them as well.

Previously, the difference between configuring and offline is
unclear, this patch just fixes it. The key difference should be
whether the raid bdev have ever registered. Offline is registered
before but unregistered now, and configuring has never registered.
According to the above, we should never set configuring raid bdev to
offline because it never got registered.

With Identify Namespace Identification Descriptors can be
executed asynchronously, most of functions in the controller
initialization now can be executed asynchronously now, for
host with multiple controllers this can save some time during
initialization.

Reason: For connect, we use non_block mode in
the initiator side, but we do not do it for
the accepted fd in the server side, which will
casue writev not return. And this patch can fix this.
PS: SPDK default use non block mode.

Only calling spdk_clear_all_transfer_task cannot solve all
the hotplug issue. The iSCSI task may successfully return
and own the bdev buffer inside the iSCSI task, so we need to
call this flush pdu function.

This variable will be used for something more than
just building SPDK, namely installing the freebsd
contigmem kernel module.
Note: Installing a module requires root priviledges
and can't be done as a part of autobuild.

The RAID module is no longer marked experimental and
is now built by default. Using '--with-raid' was giving
us an additional deprecation message:

This value for the rdma transport at least is tied very closely to the
size of the iover buffers. Changing the name makes it less confusing.

commands if the target is not ready.

Per the definition of the poller returned value
* return 0 to indicate that polling took place but no events were found;
* return positive to indicate that polling took place and some events were processed;
* return negative if the poller does not provide spin-wait information.
Have a change to compare whether positive.

Gcc reports error "vhost_user.c:665: error: ‘MADV_DONTDUMP’ undeclared
(first use in this function)" when build in CentOS-6, include
<asm/mman.h> fixes it.

we need to decode byte object from check_output()
to utf-8, otherwise there is an error.

If the ipsec submodule is registered to spdk, an empty intel-ipsec-mb
directory will be created. We could potentially try to run make inside
of this empty directory, so instead do a preemptive submodule update.
