These interfaces were put in place to let QorIQ SoCs dictate CPU idling
semantics, in order to support capabilities such as NAP mode and deep sleep.
However, this never stabilized, and the idling support reverted back to
CPU-level rather than SoC level. Move this code back to cpu.c instead. If
at a later date the lower power modes do come to fruition, it should be done
by overriding the cpu_idle_hook instead of this platform hook.
is set and the right thing to do may be platform-dependent (it requires
firmware on PowerNV, for instance). Make it a new platform method called
platform_smp_timebase_sync().

Mainly focus on files that use BSD 3-Clause license.
The Software Package Data Exchange (SPDX) group provides a specification
to make it easier for automated tools to detect and summarize well known
opensource licenses. We are gradually adopting the specification, noting
that the tags are considered only advisory and do not, in any way,
superceed or replace the license texts.
Special thanks to Wind River for providing access to "The Duke of
Highlander" tool: an older (2014) run over FreeBSD tree was useful as a
starting point.
Newer Book-E cores (e500mc, e5500, e6500) do not support the WE bit in the MSR,
and instead delegate CPU idling to the SoC.
Perhaps in the future the QORIQ_DPAA option for the mpc85xx platform will become
a subclass, which will eliminate most of the #ifdef's.
Summary:
With some additional changes for AIM, that could also support much
larger physmem sizes. Given that 32-bit AIM is more or less obsolete, though,
it's not worth it at this time.

hypervisor infrastructure support:
- Fix coexistence of multiple platform modules in the same kernel
- Allow platform modules to provide an SMP topology
- PowerPC hypervisors limit the amount of memory accessible in real mode.
Allow the platform modules to specify the maximum real-mode address,
and modify the bits of the kernel that need to allocate
real-mode-accessible buffers to respect this limits.
new platform module. These are probed in early boot, and have the
responsibility of determining the layout of physical memory, determining
the CPU timebase frequency, and handling the zoo of SMP mechanisms
found on PowerPC.
