The driver provides support for Human Interface Devices (HID) on
Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) buses on Apple Intel Macs
produced in 2015-2018.
The driver appears to work more stable after installation of Darwin OSI
in acpi(4) driver.
To install Darwin OSI insert following lines into /boot/loader.conf:

Each channel gets its own DMA resources, cleanup and "bufferpool"
tasks, and a separate cleanup taskqueue to isolate channels operation
as much as possible to avoid various kernel panics under heavy network
load.
As a side-effect of this work, dpaa2_buf structure is simplified and
all of the functions to re-seed those buffers are gathered now in
dpaa2_buf.h and .c files; functions to work with channels are
extracted into dpaa2_channel.h and .c files as well.

This basic version of the driver obtains properties of the "sff,sfp"
compatible devices and implements a simple interface to provide an I2C
bus device for the rest of the drivers (e.g. to implement SIOCGI2C).
Both of the interface and driver are subjects for a further
generalization to be used in case of non-FDT and non-arm64 platforms.

Add a driver to connect vt to the VirtIO GPU device in 2D mode. This
provides a output on the display when a qemu virtio gpu device is
added, e.g. with -device virtio-gpu-pci.

Fix a boot-time panic in qcom_mdio_ipq4018 due to a missing bus function

Following the removal of general MIPS support, there's no longer a need
to have the AHB bus-frontend in place, which according to Linux sources
also isn't used with any non-MIPS SoCs. For simplicity, PCI bus support
is only made conditional on the main one again, i. e. device ath_pci is
removed, and built into the main module, i. e. if_ath_pci.ko obsoleted,
respectively.
Effectively, this reverts the following commits and associated changes:

Some SoCs have an external firmware doing power management, clock
and other stuffs. (Xilinx, ARM Juno etc ...)
The way it is represent in the DTB is usually having a 'firmware' node
under the root node and have some nodes under it with the correct
compatible strings.
The firmware node itself doesn't have any compatible strings.
This driver is simple subclassed from simplebus and attaches at
BUS_PASS_BUS + BUS_PASS_ORDER_MIDDLE so early drivers (like clock drivers)
can still have a change to attach early.

When spibus is attached as child of Intel SPI controller it scans all
ACPI nodes for "SPI Serial Bus Connection Resource Descriptor" described
in section 19.6.126 of ACPI specs.
If such a descriptor is found, SPI child is added to spibus, it's SPI
chip select, mode, clock, IRQ resource and ACPI handle are added to ivars.
Existing ACPI bus-hosted child is deleted afterwards.
Apple ACPI SPI extensions are supported.

Currently for the MFS, firmware and VDSO template assembly files we pass
the path to include with .incbin unquoted and use __XSTRING within the
assembly file to stringify it. However, __XSTRING doesn't just perform a
single level of expansion, it performs the normal full expansion of the
macro, and so if the path itself happens to tokenise to something that
includes a defined macro in it that will itself be substituted. For
example, with #define MACRO 1, a path like /path/containing/MACRO/in/it
will expand to /path/containing/1/in/it and then, when stringified, end
up as "/path/containing/1/in/it", not the intended string. Normally,
macros have names that start or end witih underscores and are unlikely
to appear in a tokenised path (even if technically they could), but now
that we've switched to GNU C as of commit ec41a96daa ("sys: Switch the
kernel's C standard from C99 to GNU99.") there are a few new macros
defined which don't start or end with underscores: unix, which is always
defined to 1, and i386, which is defined to 1 on i386. The former
probably doesn't appear in user paths in practice, but the latter has
been seen to and is likely quite common in the wild.
Fix this by defining the macro pre-quoted instead of using __XSTRING.
Note that technically we don't need to do this for vdso_wrap.S today as
all the paths passed to it are safe file names with no user-controlled
prefix but we should do it anyway for consistency and robustness against
future changes.
This allows make tinderbox to pass when built with source and object
directories inside ~/path-with-unix, which would otherwise expand to
~/path-with-1 and break.

The removal of the sparc64 support in February 2020 obsoleted the
VTOC8 partitioning scheme as no other FreeBSD platform makes use
of it. Moreover, the code is bitrotting as nothing defines e. g.
LOADER_VTOC8_SUPPORT any more and, thus, should go now, too. With
this change, the following commits are reverted as far as VTOC8
is concerned and parts haven't already previously been deleted
along with prior sparc64 removals:

lld >= 14 and recent GNU ld can relax adrp+add and adrp+ldr
instructions, which breaks VNET and DPCPU when used in modules.
Until VNET and DPCPU can be fixed to deal with these relaxed
instructions, disable linker relaxation for now.

Whilst /bin/echo on macOS and Linux implement -n, as do the builtin
echos in bash and zsh, the builtin echo in dash does not, causing the
first line of the output to be -n foo rather than just foo, and there to
be an extra newline in the output and thus blank line, both of which
result in "Symbol ... is not present in *.kld" warnings appearing in the
build output (once for -n foo and once for the empty string for each
module where EXPORT_SYMS is a list of symbols).

Use of compiler builtin ffs/ctz functions will result in optimized
instruction sequences when possible, and fall back to calling a function
provided by the compiler run-time library. We have slowly shifted our
platforms to take advantage of these builtins in 60645781d6 (arm64),
1c76d3a9fb (arm), 9e319462a0 (powerpc, partial).
Some platforms still rely on the libkern implementations of these
functions provided by libkern, namely riscv, powerpc (ffs*, flsll), and
i386 (ffsll and flsll). These routines are slow, as they perform a
linear search for the bit in question. Even on platforms lacking
dedicated bit-search instructions, such as riscv, the compiler library
will provide better-optimized routines, e.g. by using binary search.
Consolidate all definitions of these functions (whether currently using
builtins or not) to libkern.h. This should result in equivalent or
better performing routines in all cases.
One wart in all of this is the existing HAVE_INLINE_F*** macros, which
we use in a few places to conditionally avoid the slow libkern routines.
These aren't easily removed in one commit. For now, provide these
defines unconditionally, but marked for removal after subsequent
cleanup.
Removal of the now unused libkern routines will follow in the next
commit.

This matches the default used in userland, and the kernel already
depends on various GNU extensions to standard C that are supported by
both clang and GCC.
This should be a no-op for clang, but for GCC it enables some GNU
extensions that aren't otherwise enabled. It also enables GCC for
i386 to avoid the need for a floatundidf intrinsic in libkern.

So this is a subtle bug I have found in cubic. If you compile a number of options into the kernel (accounting and tracking) then
all of the kernel code "knows" the proper offset of t_rttupdatecnt however cubic does not see the options (and htcp too) and thus
will look for the count in the wrong place seeing 0. Which then means it never builds an MIN RTT which then means it
always hangs in slowstart.
The solution is to put all options that effect tcpcb size into the opt_global.h so that the kernel
has a consistent view of the tcpcb size.

Booting an amd64 kernel on Firecracker with 1 CPU and 128 MB of RAM,
pmap_zero_page is responsible for 4.6 ms of the 25.0 ms of boot time.
This is not in fact time spent zeroing pages though; almost all of
that time is spent in a first-touch penalty, presumably due to the
host Linux kernel faulting in backing pages one by one.
There's probably a way to improve that by teaching Firecracker to
fault in all the VM's pages from the start rather than having them
faulted in one at a time, but that's outside of FreeBSD's control.
This commit adds a TSLOG_PAGEZERO option which enables TSLOG on the
amd64 pmap_zero_page function; it's a separate option (turned off
by default even if TSLOG is enabled) since zeroing pages happens
enough that it can easily fill the TSLOG buffer and prevent other
timing information from being recorded.

gVNIC is a virtual network interface designed specifically for
Google Compute Engine (GCE). It is required to support per-VM Tier_1
networking performance, and for using certain VM shapes on GCE.
The NIC supports TSO, Rx and Tx checksum offloads, and RSS.
It does not currently do hardware LRO, and thus the software-LRO
in the host is used instead. It also supports jumbo frames.
For each queue, the driver negotiates a set of pages with the NIC to
serve as a fixed bounce buffer, this precludes the use of iflib.
