9957fe2008 Convert arm's physmem interface to MI code
The arm_physmem interface found in arm's MD code provides a convenient
set of routines for adding/excluding physical memory regions and
initializing important kernel globals such as Maxmem, realmem,
phys_avail[], and dump_avail[]. It is especially convenient for FDT
systems, since we can use FDT parsing functions and pass the result
directly to one of these physmem routines. This interface is already in
use on arm and arm64, and can be used to simplify this early
initialization on RISC-V as well.

This requires only a couple trivial changes:
  - Move arm_physmem_kernel_addr to arm/machdep.c. It is unused on arm64,
    and manipulated entirely in arm MD code.
  - Convert arm32_btop/arm64_btop to atop. This is equivalently defined
    on all architectures.
  - Drop the "arm" prefix.

7f5a74aaa2 Always compile minidump_machdep.c on arm.
It is not logically dependent on "device mem", and an arm kernel
compiled without that device fails to link since the minidumpsys()
symbol is referenced by kern_dump.c.

c479030bc6 Move font.h generation to conf/files from conf/files.*
Use ${SRCTOP} instead of /usr/share.
Prefer to depend on option sc_dflt_fnt instead of sc.
gc the 4 otherwise identical instances in the tree.
Platforms that don't need this won't included it.

217ac89b1d Remove old boardid/mach-types support.
This has been long obsolete in linux and now that all armv4/5 support

50cdda62fc emulate illumos membar_producer with atomic_thread_fence_rel
membar_producer is supposed to be a store-store barrier.
Also, in the code that FreeBSD has ported from illumos membar_producer
is used only with regular stores to regular memory (with respect to
caching).

We do not have an MI primitive for the store-store barrier, so
atomic_thread_fence_rel is the closest we have as it provides
(load | store) -> store barrier.

Previously, membar_producer was an empty function call on all 32-bit
arm-s, 32-bit powerpc, riscv and all mips variants.  I think that it was
inadequate.
On other platforms, such as amd64, arm64, i386, powerpc64, sparc64,
membar_producer was implemented using stronger primitives than required
for a store-store barrier with respect to regular memory access.
For example, it used sfence on amd64 and lock-ed nop in i386 (despite TSO).
On powerpc64 we now use recommended lwsync instead of eieio.
On sparc64 FreeBSD uses TSO mode.
On arm64/aarch64 we now use dmb sy instead of dmb ish.  Not sure if this
is an improvement, actually.

After this change we can drop opensolaris_atomic.S for aarch64, amd64,
powerpc64 and sparc64 as all required atomic operations have either
direct or light-weight mapping to FreeBSD native atomic operations.

1ec287f9c9 Add generic arm/arm64 secure-monitor SMCCC interface and switch
PSCI code to use it.

This interface will also be used by Intel Stratix 10 platform.

This was not tested on arm due to lack of PSCI-enabled arm hardware
lying around.

6a103b76a4 ukbdmap.h rule was identical on all platforms, so move them into sys/conf/files.
This allows us to remove 'nodevice ukbd' from the arm64 NOTES file.

b905869fc5 Implement the ffs and fls functions, and their longer counterparts, in
cpufunc, in terms of __builtin_ffs and the like, for arm32 v6 and v7
architectures, and use those, rather than the simple libkern
implementations, in building arm32 kernels.

32731864c4 Move scterm_teken.c from 6 MD files lists to the MI files list so that it
is easier to configure.  It is MI, unlike some of the other syscons files
already in the MI list.

Move scvtb.c similarly.  It is needed whenever sc is configured, and is
more MI than most of the files already in the MI list.

This only changes the combined list for arm64 and mips.  These arches
already cannot build sc or even NOTES.

378786ebf3 amd64: implement memcmp in assembly
Both the in-kernel C variant and libc asm variant have very poor performance.
The former compiles to a single byte comparison loop, which breaks down even
for small sizes. The latter uses rep cmpsq/b which turn out to have very poor
throughput and are slower than a hand-coded 32-byte comparison loop.

Depending on size this is about 3-4 times faster than the current routines.

de47afa9bf Revert r336773: it removed too much.
r336773 removed all things xscale. However, some things xscale are
really armv5. Revert that entirely. A more modest removal will follow.

0a4723bbc5 Remove xscale support
The OLD XSCALE stuff hasn't been useful in a while. The original
committer (cognet@) was the only one that had boards for it. He's
blessed this removal. Newer XSCALE (GUMSTIX) is for hardware that's
quite old. After discussion on arm@, it was clear there was no support
for keeping it.

19d66463c0 Remove the dead code from ARM cpufunc_* files.

36cef61704 Tag all armv7 kernels as such in their machine config line.
Transition all boards that support arm cortex CPUs to armv7. This
leaves two armv6 kernels in the tree. RPI-B, which uses the BCM2835
which has a ARM1176 core, and VERSATILEPB, which is a qemu board setup
around the time RPI-B went in. Copy std.armv6 to std.armv7, even
though that duplicates a lot of stuff. More work needs to be done to
sort out the duplication.

f68f01fa5f Add external PLATFORM access on arm, and use it in the pl310 driver.
This allows multiple instances of SoCs that use the pl310 driver to be
built within the same kernel:

 * Add access to the platform_t object from outside platform.c
 * Use this with the pl310 driver

There is a new platform_pl310 interface to replace the existing code. SoCs
need to implement the init method, and if they have special requirements to
write to the two registers we care about will also need to implement the
write_ctrl and write_debug methods.

c67895a787 Create a new option ARM_USE_V6_BUSDMA to force an armv4/5 kernel to
use the armv6 busdma interface. This interface uses more memory than
the armv4 one, but bounces more data more often so may be more correct
than the armv4 one. It is intended for debugging purposes only at the
moment.

0fb6ad528e Merge projects/ipsec into head/.
Small summary
 -------------

o Almost all IPsec releated code was moved into sys/netipsec.
o New kernel modules added: ipsec.ko and tcpmd5.ko. New kernel
  option IPSEC_SUPPORT added. It enables support for loading
  and unloading of ipsec.ko and tcpmd5.ko kernel modules.
o IPSEC_NAT_T option was removed. Now NAT-T support is enabled by
  default. The UDP_ENCAP_ESPINUDP_NON_IKE encapsulation type
  support was removed. Added TCP/UDP checksum handling for
  inbound packets that were decapsulated by transport mode SAs.
  setkey(8) modified to show run-time NAT-T configuration of SA.
o New network pseudo interface if_ipsec(4) added. For now it is
  build as part of ipsec.ko module (or with IPSEC kernel).
  It implements IPsec virtual tunnels to create route-based VPNs.
o The network stack now invokes IPsec functions using special
  methods. The only one header file <netipsec/ipsec_support.h>
  should be included to declare all the needed things to work
  with IPsec.
o All IPsec protocols handlers (ESP/AH/IPCOMP protosw) were removed.
  Now these protocols are handled directly via IPsec methods.
o TCP_SIGNATURE support was reworked to be more close to RFC.
o PF_KEY SADB was reworked:
  - now all security associations stored in the single SPI namespace,
    and all SAs MUST have unique SPI.
  - several hash tables added to speed up lookups in SADB.
  - SADB now uses rmlock to protect access, and concurrent threads
    can do SA lookups in the same time.
  - many PF_KEY message handlers were reworked to reflect changes
    in SADB.
  - SADB_UPDATE message was extended to support new PF_KEY headers:
    SADB_X_EXT_NEW_ADDRESS_SRC and SADB_X_EXT_NEW_ADDRESS_DST. They
    can be used by IKE daemon to change SA addresses.
o ipsecrequest and secpolicy structures were cardinally changed to
  avoid locking protection for ipsecrequest. Now we support
  only limited number (4) of bundled SAs, but they are supported
  for both INET and INET6.
o INPCB security policy cache was introduced. Each PCB now caches
  used security policies to avoid SP lookup for each packet.
o For inbound security policies added the mode, when the kernel does
  check for full history of applied IPsec transforms.
o References counting rules for security policies and security
  associations were changed. The proper SA locking added into xform
  code.
o xform code was also changed. Now it is possible to unregister xforms.
  tdb_xxx structures were changed and renamed to reflect changes in
  SADB/SPDB, and changed rules for locking and refcounting.

ae5f530142 Remake support for SMP kernel on UP cpu:
- Use new option SMP_ON_UP instead of (mis)using specific CPU type.
   By this, any SMP kernel can be compiled with SMP_ON_UP support.
 - Enable runtime detection of CPU multiprocessor extensions only
   if SMP_ON_UP option is used. In other cases (pure SMP or UP),
   statically compile only required variant.
 - Don't leak multiprocessor instructions to UP kernel.
 - Correctly handle data cache write back to point of unification.
   DCCMVAU is supported on all armv7 cpus.
 - For SMP_ON_UP kernels, detect proper TTB flags on runtime.

083cb45b1a To allow for an ACPI attachment to the generic PCIe driver split off the
FDT attachment to a new file. A separate ACPI attachment will then be added
to allow arm64 servers with ACPI to use it over FDT.

This should also help with merging this with the ofwpci driver, with
further work needed to remove restrictions this driver places on resource
allocation.

ddde760b37 Support for MSI-X on Annapurna Alpine
This patch adds support for MSI-X interrupts
on Annapurna Alpine platform. MSI-X on Alpine
work similarly to GICv2m, i.e. some range of
SPI interrupts is reserved in GIC and individual
SPIs can be triggered by MSI-X messages.
This SPI range is defined in FDT.

3bb796bc2c Split CPU_CORTEXA into CPU_CORTEXA8, for the Cortex-A8, and CPU_CORTEXA_MP,
for later Cortex-A CPUs that support the Multiprocessor Extensions. This
will be needed to support both in a single GENERIC kernel while still
being able to only build for a single SoC.

c31c9945e9 Move ofw_cpu file to the main files conf file.
There is nothing CPU specific here, and it's usable by both fdt and Open
Firmware based systems.  Rather than keeping the same file in every one, just
add it to the ofw/fdt block in the main file.

a9355d61c1 Add very preliminary support for CloudABI for ARMv6.
In order to make CloudABI work on ARMv6, start off by copying over the
sysvec for ARM64 and adjust it to use 32-bit registers. Also add code
for fetching arguments from the stack if needed, as there are fewer
register than on ARM64.

Also import the vDSO that is needed to invoke system calls. This vDSO
uses the intra procedure call register (ip) to store the system call
number. This is a bit simpler than what native FreeBSD does, as FreeBSD
uses r7, while preserving the original r7 into ip.

This sysvec seems to be complete enough to start CloudABI processes.
These processes are capable of linking in the vDSO and are therefore
capable of executing (most?) system calls successfully. Unfortunately,
the biggest show stopper is still that TLS is completely broken:

- The linker used by CloudABI, LLD, still has troubles with some of the
  relocations needed for TLS. See LLVM bug 30218 for more details.

- Whereas FreeBSD uses the tpidruro register for TLS, for CloudABI I
  want to make use of tpidrurw, so that userspace can modify the base
  address directly. This is needed for efficient emulation.
  Unfortunately, this register doesn't seem to be preserved across
  context switches yet.

f1a8e245ae Introduce MSI and MSI-X support to intrng. This adds a new msi device
interface with 5 methods to mirror the 5 MSI/MSI-X methods in the pcib
interface. The pcib driver will need to perform a device specific lookup
to find the MSI controller and pass this to intrng as the xref. Intrng
will finally find the controller and have it handle the requested operation.

fc42f4865c Reduce OFW PCI code duplication - involves ARM, PPC and SPARC64
Import portions of the PowerPC OF PCI implementation into new file
"ofwpci.c", common for other platforms. The files ofw_pci.c and ofw_pci.h
from sys/powerpc/ofw no longer exist. All required declarations are moved
to sys/dev/ofw/ofwpci.h. This creates a new ofw_pci_write_ivar() function
and modifies some others methods. Most functions contain existing ppc
implementations in the majority unchanged. Now there is no need to have
multiple identical copies of methods for various architectures.

d887d37a7a Build ofw_cpu.c on all ARM configs using FDT. As we mve towards using the
