For VLAN packet the tci is saved in rx_mb->vlan_tci, however the
STRIPPED offload flag is not set along with PKT_RX_VLAN flag.
Set the PKT_RX_VLAN_STRIPPED flag as well.

PMD handles fast path completions in the Rx handler and control path
completions in the interrupt handler. They both are processing
completions from the same fastpath completion queue. There is a
potential for race condition when these two paths are processing
the completions from the same queue and trying to updating Rx Producer.
Add a fastpath Rx lock between these two paths to close this race.

now managed globally, the LIBABIVER and version variables no longer
serve any useful purpose, and can be removed.

7.13.11 FW changelog:
- Packets from a VF with pvid configured which were sent with a
different vlan were transmitted instead of being discarded.
- In some multi-function configurations, inter-PF and inter-VF
Tx switching is incorrectly enabled.
- Wrong assert code in FLR final cleanup in case it is sent not

- Chip may stall in very rare cases under heavy traffic with FW GRO

For SRIOV, fastpath status blocks are not allocated resulting in
segfault. Separate out fastpath DMA allocation/free from rest of
memory allocation/free. It is now done as part of NIC load/unload.

The logic to read vf_id used by ACQUIRE/TEARDOWN_Q/RELEASE TLVs,
multiplexed return value to convey vf_id value and status of read vf_id
API. This lets to segfault at dev_start() as resources are not properly
cleaned and re-allocated.
Fix read vf_id API to differentiate between vf_id value and return
status. Adjust the status checking accordingly.
Added bnx2x_vf_teardown_queue() API and moved relevant code from
bnx2x_vf_unload() to new API.

Replace rte_intr_enable() with rte_intr_ack() API
for acking an interrupt in interrupt handlers and
rx_queue_intr_enable() callbacks of PMD's.
This is inline with original intent of this change in PMDs
to ack interrupts after handling is completed if
device is backed by UIO, IGB_UIO or VFIO(with INTx).

Don't call bnx2x_link_status_update() from bnx2x_link_update().
Actual use case of bnx2x_link_status_update() is to update the link
status in shared memory between driver and MFW, and not to get the
link status from HW.
So ideally, bnx2x_link_status_update() should be called when there
is an actual link event or change in link status.
Calling bnx2x_link_status_update() from bnx2x_link_update() may
corrupt the data of link status in shared memory and result
in inconsistent state of link.

PMD sets up and clears the slow path interrupt status block in dev_start
and dev_stop flow and slow path interrupt status block DMA memory for
device is allocated in dev_configure flow.
This situation creates a state where, after dev_stop is called, and if
there is a slow path interrupt from device, PMD sees the old value of
status block consumer in dev_start flow, since DMA memory for status
block belongs to old configuration and dev_start will result in
new slow path interrupt status block configuration.
And since PMD fails to ack new slow path interrupt with correct status
block consumer value, device continues to trigger interrupt causing an
interrupt flood.
Fix is to create and destroy status block DMA memory in dev_start and
dev_stop flow instead of dev_configure and dev_close flow.

Patch "8bd31421c593 ("net/bnx2x: fix ramrod timeout")"
introduced a regression where sc->scan_fp flags is
set for unexpectedly long time. So the slow path completion
handler flow is run unnecessarily which walks over receive
descriptor ring of fast path and drops the data packets while looking
for slow path completion descriptor out of fast path ring.
This issue is seen under heavy traffic with link events happening
in background.

Enable the optic module vendor and part number verification from driver
by setting appropriate flags. Link handling module in conjunction with
FW performs optic module verification.
Without this fix the SFP is powered down and the link doesn't come up,
if module verification is enforced in nvram setting.

The periodic callout function and the interrupt handler both modify the
periodic flags. There is a possible race condition when an application
is going through dev_stop()/dev_start() and an interrupt handler is
invoked. We also need to ensure that periodic polling is not invoked in
interrupt context.
This patch handles such case by using separate variable to check for
interrupt context. Also, atomically load and store the periodic flag
value.

In some cases, DPDK application may send packets
while PMD is going through load or unload flow.
This causes firmware to access invalid/unallocated
memory to process transmit buffer. Which results in
error on PCI bus and chip further blocks access to host,
causing a DMAE timeout.
Fix this issue by installing dummy empty transmit and receive
handlers at the beginning of unload path (rte_eth_dev_stop())
and install actual transmit and receive handlers after successful
load of the PMD port (rte_eth_dev_start()). This way, application
won't be able to send packets while device is going through
load/unload flow.

There is a race condition while processing RAMROD
completion in fast path queue through interrupt handler
and polling method.
Interrupt handler invoked from actual interrupt event
and from RAMROD processing polling flow may create a
situation where one flow will read and clear a fastpath
interrupt without actually processing the RAMROD completion.
Thus, causing a RAMROD timeout even though HW sent an
completion event.
Fix this by introducing an atomic variable which will be
set only when interrupt handler needs to process RAMROD
completion.

Previous ungraceful exit may leave behind un-acked stale
interrupts for slowpath and fastpath.
Interrupt status polling function is started before FLR is
initiated, so we don't have a real way to protect this polling
function invoking an interrupt handler caused due to stale
interrupt status from previous ungraceful exit.
So, check uninitialized status block variables in interrupt
handling path which may lead to segfault.

Whenever possible (if the library ships a pkg-config file) use meson's
dependency() function to look for it, as it will automatically add it
to the Requires.private list if needed, to allow for static builds to
succeed for reverse dependencies of DPDK. Otherwise the recursive
dependencies are not parsed, and users doing static builds have to
resolve them manually by themselves.
When using this API avoid additional checks that are superfluous and
take extra time, and avoid adding the linker flag manually which causes
it to be duplicated.

The helper rte_eth_dma_zone_reserve() is called by PMDs
when probing a new port.
It creates a new memzone with an unique name.
The name of this memzone was using the name of the driver
doing the probe.
In order to avoid assigning the driver before the end of the probing,
the driver name is removed from these memzone names.
The ethdev name (data->name) is not used because it may be too long
and may be not set at this stage of probing.

This patch adds phy_lock, acquire/release the lock when performing
PHY transactions. Without this fix driver can run into synchronization
issues with management FW when modifying PHY settings.

If link handling periodic function is allowed to be called in interrupt
context, the periodic function can get called too frequently and exhaust
the retry credits to check link status.
This change makes sure link handling periodic function is not called in
interrupt context.
